I came to know Randy Escalada while getting the ODP profile of a domain I was interested in. Randy is one of the editors of the Open Directory Project (ODP), one of the most sought after directories by SEOs.
You can contact Randy via his ODP Profile page here. His personal site can be found here.
Marc: For the benefit of the uninitiated, can you give us a short background on ODP?
Randy: ODP is the largest human edited directory with content licensed for open distribution. Rickey is the blogger behind Rickey.org. His blog has that reality talent show vibe to it and on any given day, you can see over 500 blog comments, and that’s just for 1 post. Pair that traffic with a deft marketing mind (think Cafepress, Amazon Associates and Google AdSense) and you’ve got the recipe for a very successful blog.
I asked Rickey to share his insights on the Internet, niche marketing and blogging in general. Read the rest of this entry »
