News that an elderly couple in San Juan were shot at using airsoft toys came as a shock. Condemnation of the act was swift. The Philippine National Airsoft Society (PNAS) released this cleverly worded statement on the incident which was aired during the August 23 episode of Magandang Umaga Bayan (notice that you can’t find one reference to guns). Having been MIA for a few months, it’s nice to finally see my comrades in airsoft arms during the Team Mission Specific OpUnity game at Steel Mill last July 9. More pics in Tintoot’s gallery.
To those who remembered and gave encouraging words of “more birthdays to come”, salamas! Sorry for the the austere celebration, if you can call it as such. Sophie had something to do with it… ;)
UPDATE (04/15/2005)
Special thanks to the surprise birthday party crew: Sharm, Mic-Mac, Mon, Reggie, Charles, Jam, Jill and Ner. Special thanks also to TMS for the cute birthday card above ;)
I never did get to wear you to battle. But I’m alright, comforted by the fact that you will make someone else’s dreams come true. You made me the happiest man when you and I met for the first time a few months ago. Read the rest of this entry »
There’s an ongoing Filairsoft.com thread (yet again) about the upgrade vs skills debate in airsoft. Much has been said about this issue. I’m sure all our airsoft forefathers had their own harrowing experience with opponents packing M150 setups and absolutely no fire discipline. It has become the latest rage these days: get a gun, get a stronger spring, get a heavier BB. The airsoft FPS upgrade mania is so bad these days one would be a fool to think he could do with just goggles and neoprene balaclavas during open FPS games. Read the rest of this entry »

I guess the US Army’s loss is every armchair general’s gain. Crye Associates’ Scorpion Pattern (MultiCamâ„¢) lost to another company for the new Army Combat Uniform (ACU) contract. So what do you do? Sell it to the civilian market of course! It’ll just be a matter of time before we see these MultiCamâ„¢ goodies at eBay…in fact I see a few already. When can we expect to see this pattern in the Philippines? Read the rest of this entry »
It always feels good to be back in the battlefield again, especially after a few weeks of being MIA. We went to the the default game site for that day. Everyone else who was lucky enough to go went to Angeles, Pampanga for the Megaball 2004 airsoft event. The grunts who couldn’t spent their BBs at MMTC.
I had second thoughts about wearing the tropentarn set together with the new desert tan knee and elbow pads (medium pants I can handle, but size L?!), so I decided to use the desert MARPAT set instead. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m selling a bunch of airsoft gears to finance my first digital camera project. Most of the items are posted in the FS: Gears & Accessories and FS: Uniforms/Clothing forums at Filairsoft.com. Items are at my house in Mandaluyong, but I’m willing to meet in Ortigas after office hours.
I haven’t used any of the items. They still have that PX/balikbayan box smell. I can ship the items to any province through Aboitiz. Also open to trades for a good digital cam (I’m willing to add cash). Hala bili na! Read the rest of this entry »
MMTC’s back? Rechristened Mogadishu Playfield by Andre (Kasmot), the site has undergone a few structural improvements to simulate the Somalian urban battleground theme. I have fond memories of MMTC. A lot of airsoft firsts for me there.
