I didn’t think I’d join the bitter masses, but it’s finally happened: PLDT myDSL officially sucks! 7 days now and counting.

    is there any single reliable broadband ISP in Pinas? a lot of people cursed smart bro/wifi, the same goes to globe. any other alternatives? i’m planning pa naman to get into netrepreneur fulltime. that really sucks.

    I think it really depends on you location.I’m using smart bro/wifi for 5 months now and I’m quite satisfied on their service.And we are using PLDT myDSL in our office here in Eastwood and still no problem.
    If you’re loooking for an alternative, Eastern Telecom is a must try as well.They are one of the promising ISP provider.I think Globe is available only in few area in Metro Manila.A must try as well.

    And what’s bad about that with PLDT is I don’t think you get any rebate of some sort.

    I guess the best way to go about getting a broadband provider is to survey which is the least problematic in your area, not necessarily the best. So far, I’m happy with my Bayantel SkyDSL subscription after switching from PLDT myDSL. Haven’t heard or read any complaints about the service in my general area.

    I had the same problem before. I tried calling them, sending text, sending email and nobody is calling back. After about 5 days I made a script that dumped about 10 emails ever now and then.

    I’ve sent my complaint letter to all pldt email addresses I can find in the internet.

    Siguro they’ve received about 1000 emails from me. Ayun narindi, panay ang tawag sa akin and naayus din after 1 whole week of downtime.

    Bossing, naku daming reklamo talaga nyan mydsl na yan. dami pa kamong alibi. Sana nag zipidee (skycable)ka nalang at least cable or kaya yung sa mydestiny. Di pa kasi ganon ka stable ang dsl connection dyan sa pinas. hate ko pa dyan sa mydsl na yan sa customer service, they will put you on hold for 1 hour. basta sana nag cable ka nalang at least smooth sailing ka pa!

    actually, stable na sya dati. i have been a pldt mydsl subscriber for the past four years and it’s only been recently na nagkakaloko-loko. ever since the 999 plans came out, everything went downhill from there. i don’t think pldt was expecting so many subscribers right away - di kinaya ng infrastructure nila.

    and yes, i’m still with pldt and also having a lot of problems with it lately.

    I ended up using dial up. I know it sucks. but better then nothing.

    I tried Globe, but slower than PLDT. anyways, WiFI- weRoam toooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow.

    Best bet, go to a hotel with Wifi, and work from there.

    AND PLDT customer service sucks too.

    good luck… it should be up soon … keep calling them and tell them that you are switching to Globe if it doesn’t get fixed. in 24 hours.

    ok yung info buti na lang nkita ko agad, i was planning to get pa naman yung mydsl. at least ngayon alam ko na. Salamat ha,Tama yung sabi nila halos lahat ng costomer service operators never take the job seriously. alam nyo sa ibang bansa napakasarap tumawag regarless of time napaka curtious nila at pag may sinabi sila na aayusin talaga on the spot aayusin specially sa mga banks. kaya siguro malago ang kanilang economy.

    Bakit ang very low ang speed at received And sent bytes nyo ang tagal pa ito bago kami maka open. dapat ayusin nyo ito kasi lumalabas parang di nyo ito napapansin sa server nyo. nagbabayad rin naman kami dapat patas lang. pag ganyan na ka connect na kami at hindi makabukas dahi low speed and received bytes parang lumabas panloloko kasi nagbabayad kami na di nagagamit. Sana di aabot na magreklamo pa ang mga subscriber kasi trabaho nyo ito.

    We’ve been using PLDT myDSL for some time now. Every now and then we couldn’t connect whethet we use Oper, Firefox, or even IE. In fairness, that doesn’t last vey long, at least no for a whole day. Still, it’s a real bummer. Especially if you need to surf for things very often. I wish they upgrade their capabilities. They must be spread out too thinly over a very wide customer base. They can do it though. If they only would have the politial will. They are financially anfd technically capable of improving. I wonder when they will do that.

    I’d like to share my experience to PLDT myDSL, always disconnecting, hard to connect, sometimes you were connected but no activity or not responding. I think PLDT cannot accomodate Internet Connection properly, they are just good in Telephone Lines. So I switch now to Bayantel Sky DSL, perfectly fits my needs in surfing the internet, very fast, very kind and accomodating customer service representatives, they act as quick as lightning. If there is a problem to your SkyDSL Internet, they have actions within less than 24 hours, quickly and well-kind Bayantel personnel. Unlike in PLDT myDSL, they keep u promising to fix your DSL for a few weeks. i have waiting for days, weeks, months, calling from time to time, i’m getting so much headaches. grrrrrrrrrrr.. Just I hate their customer service and their Internet service. PLDT myDSL always sucks.

    PLDT Service is the BEST!!! yes! you heard it right.

    3 weeks ng nagloloko myDSL ng gf ko. sabi pupuntahan daw. pero hindi naman pumupunta. Napuno na kami. Inemail namin support nung gabi at nagrereklamo kami.

    tapus kinaumagahan punta agad technician. wala ako sa haus ng gf ko kaya siya lang talaga kausap technician. advise ng technician, bili raw ng bagong lan card at ireformat pc. comment? suggestions? violent reactions? Kasi tinest niya laptop niya dala for connection at gumana. pero yung sa pc namin, hindi gumana.

    naconclude namin ngaun na, ok yung connection. that being said, pwede na namin gawan ng paraan. pero di ko pa rin talaga makakalimutan yung pabilhin kami ng lan card. hehehe.

    so, what we did was do a system restore. fortunately my backup siya before masira mydsl niya. ayun ok na.

    Wed night approx 10pm: nagemail kami support
    THurs early morning, punta technician
    Fri morning, dame tumatawag from pldt at nagtatanong kung ayus na pc niya. :) sa dame ng tumatawag nagrereklamo na sakin gf ko hehehe.

    Dati MyDestiny gamit kong broadband, medyo ok sa simula pero ones nagkaroon sila ng technical problem…. and i guess is buong subscriber nila affected (tinatanong ko friends ng asawa ko who are also in MyDestiny kung sila din ganon… well sadly it sucks) But atleast they answer back like 2 or 3 days….

    Unlike TANGINA PLDT, fuck naka plan P3,000 kami and it sucks big time…. ginawa lang ng PLDT kinabit lang modem at tinest yung speed… of course siyempre wowow abot 1100KB…. of course laki tuwa ko….. so i shut the pc down and pirma na ng contract etc. and etc. and entertain the PLDT guy and thank him… pero after he left and i open up the Modem. damn after 20min napuputol sucks big time intermitted…. so i got my DSL like August 21 or something and ewan ko kung ginagawa nga talaga yung trabaho ng mga call support i already reported them na intermitted at lagi napuputol connection ko…. so the promptly reply na wait ko na lang yung call ng Technical Group…. so i wait… damn 3days na passed not a single call….. medyo nasa good moood pa ako that time so i just call up again and reported it….. Tangina umabot na kami september 5 wala pa rin….. So 2 weeks kami nagiiintay ang tawag ng tawag sa 172, 171 and 173 regarding the problem and as usual the same fucking routine nila na wait na lang po yung call ng technical…… since IT ako and my alam ako konti sa networking…. naisip ko baka grounded ang line, so nag request na lang ako kahit sino na lang mauna either technical or isang pldt repair crew na mag check if grounded line namin…. sadly 3 or 4 days bago dumating…. buti na lang my father in law was cool in fixing electronics and other gadget stuffs…. he fixed it instead….. so we check then the phone was not noisy and the line is not grounded…. i tested and crossed my finger…. and damn still the same… after 30mins poooof intermitted, and sometimes speed connection goes 30kb….. Next morning, a pldt crew came (at long last) and check di nga grounded yung line. (sabi ko sa sarili ko siyempre kung di ka pala tanga eh inaayos na sarap murahin) told him na lang check ano problem… he said sa technical ng pldt na lang tumawag kasi sa phone line lang kami…. and they just fucking left……. so i called up 172, and told them “kailan ba sila kikilos???” “tangina tagal na ako nagrereport wala man lang kumikilos?? Then i ask them to replace my modem, kasi modem ko yung bulok na PLDT na modem hindi yung Nokia one…….. And told her na yung modem ko mabilis mag init and hindi siya yung nokia na mas matibay… then this gurl said, Sir yung technical lang po makaka decide kung puwede eh change yung modem…. Sabi ko WHAT THE FUCK????? I already told you the scenarios lady and do you think di pa rin papalitan modem???” Sabi na ng PLDT niyo di kami grounded… so ano pa puwede maging dahilan ah??? tangina tanging modem and splitter na lang natitirang hypothesis…… ginawa ko direct modem to line (not using splitter, ganon pa rin kaso this time mga 35mins bago mag intermitted)…. Tangina naman gamitin niyo naman common sense niyo….. there are no other options na and fuck i subscribe for plan 3000…. tangina if they dont do anything talaga fucking terminate ko toh and im not paying a single scent, my wife got suspended and malapit na matangal sa trabaho because of them…… (In house call center)

    Buti pa mydestiny kahit papaano my technical na tatawag or pupunta kahit late for 2days or less… Pero ang PLDT wala BULOK!!! BULOK kayo…. and your fucking ruining your fucking name……

    Sana my foreign telecomm company mag save sa philippines… wala na kasi talaga pag asa ang broadband dito sa pinas kung kapwa pinoy lang hahawak dahil alam naman natin ang ibang ugali ng filipino regarding sa serbisyo…. tamad and di ginagawa… kunyari sasabihin gagawin pero fuck pasok dito labas sa kabilang tenga….

    i believe saying “PLDT sucks” is already redundant. because PLDT is already synonymous suckiness. But what the hell, PLDT SUCKS!!!!!!!

    Guys… Why don’t we plan to put PLDT down? Through violent means of course.

    We can start killing PLDT technicians or workers. This way, they will be more sensitive to our needs.

    If that doesn’t work…
    Let’s kill main figures in the company. Or better yet, let’s kill everyone. Take over. Run it smoothly. Then let’s call the company PLDT-Free ["Making a future that is PLDT-free."]

    Please.. I want to kill each and every person associate with that name. Please. Please. Please. Will anybody join me? I’m still not sure how to do this. But maybe a bomb will do good. For one month, we will daily make prank calls to the police or to them saying that there is a bomb planted somewhere inside the heart of PLDT. If we do this, everytime they receive a bomb threat they will be less alert for it, and when the perfect time comes, let’s make it REAL. Let JUSTICE reign for the first time in telecommunications and infotech history. Let GOOD win over evil. Let’s erradicate them. Let’s remove them from this world.

    guys i would suggest you try BayanTel SkyDSL.
    their dsl rocks. we are subscribed for almost 5mos now, and so far no problem. they will even inform you in advance through email or phone whenever there will be a downtime or outage.

    Im back again, to tell you what happened in my PLDT DSL Plan. By the way typo error ako sa last ko i meant cent not scent lolz got pissed off that time cguro kaya kahit mali mali na type and grammar ko cge lang just to release my frustration on my PLDT DSL.

    Anyway back to my story.

    Since wala pa rin tumatawag na PLDT to assist us, my wife and i have decided to go back to MyDestiny (which is now our broadband connection) dahil termination na ang susunod na hatol after the suspension. So no choice but we have to go from paranaque going to Boni to have my wife worked and stayed in a hot appartment where there she will work instead. Next morning i texted MyDestiny to call us and we want to reconnect our line. I guest after 15mins Destiny called and puwede pa rin sir eh reconnect since di ko pa naman na susurrender yung motorola na cable modem niyo. All i have to do now is just fax a letter pertaining we want to reconnect on the sales-technical group. After faxing, i guest after 5 or 6hours, yung parang pinaka head ng sales and tech(i guest) tumawag and confirmed na for reconnection. And i confirmed na ok paki reconnect na lang ulit kami kasi ginagamit nga ng wife ko sa In-House Call Center. And sabi cge po sir, after 3hours po paki check na lang internet niyo kung ayos na. Sabi ko tapos cge maam mamaya pa 6pm ko pa machecheck kasi nasa office pa ako, eh reresetup ko pa ulit. After office, rush home and removed the PLDT setup and place it to its box, and got my modem back from its box and resetup it. The online was blinking, so wala pa kami connection, i texted destiny and after 3mins my tumawag. Sabi ko for reconnection kami and wala pa… so sabi ng technical ah ok sir, pls wait check po namin. Boom surprisingly wala pang 5mins ayos na. And nag ask pa yung technical “Sir ok na po ba?” i said “Yes” and my wife and i were happy since di ko na hahatid wife ko sa boni. And nag ask pa yung technical kung my problem pa. sabi ko wala na ok na thank you very much. so our bandwidth was around 400kb to 500 which is ok naman rather than the poor intermitted service of PLDT. Few days ago nagkaroon kami problem sa Destiny pero sabi nila my problem daw talaga buong paranaque Destiny, so we have to wait by tonight or tomorrow kung ayos na. Masaya ako sa outcome kasi my nagrereply na technical support and my nag eexplain kung bakit down or what. Di tulad sa PLDT BULOK na wala ka maaasahan na feedback or reply back sa customer. Blackout ka wala ka alam kung ano problem, kung sa iyo ba or sa kanila ang problem. No feedback poor service.

    I admit maganda lang DSL KAPAG i repeat KAPAG stable na connection mo and after 5 or 6mons of waiting my pupunta na DSL or magsusumbong ka sa head or president ng PLDT para kumilos sila (based on the above Blogs concern sa PLDT). PANGIT sa kanila SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE, which yun usually habol ng customer. Wala kabit lang nila modem pag check speed ok na, batche na…. wala man lang silang sariling motive na mag wait and check like 30mins kung mag intermitted ba or what. Hindi eh batche agad. Nakakakinis tapos tatawag ka pagiiintayin ka sa call tapos wala naman, makakalipas na 1mon wala pa rin. 5mons or 6mons pa bago nila aayusin which is suck or BULOK. Sinisira nila pangalan nila. Gagawa sila ng promo bilis kabit tapos bagal naman sa serbisyo pag naikabit. Parang ayan kabit ko na bahala na kayo diyan. Nakakabuwiset yung ganon.

    So don sa nagsasabi bulok Mydestiny, mas bulok PLDT dahil destiny kahit nagdodown like 1 or 2 days atleast my nagreresponse. my tumatawag na technical di tulad sa PLDT. Di ka iwan na empty handed or any idea kung bakit sira.

    Ngayon ay followed up my termination for PLDT, kailan ko pala soli yung Modem and have to pay the 3mons advance don sa bill. Sabi ko sa pldt customer service, ano ako bali di ako tanga at magbabayad niyan. Kung gusto nila magkademandahan na lang. PANDARAYA GINAGAWA NIYO PLDT at ALAM NIYO YON. THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT SATISFIED AT YOUR SERVICE and WE ARE TERMINATING IT BECAUSE OF YOUR POOR SERVICE TPOS NGAYON HIHIRITAN NIYO KAMI BABAYADAN NAMIN DAPAT YUNG 3MONS NA TERMINATION OF CONTRACT. OK LANG SANA KUNG TUMAGAL KAMI 3MONS PUWEDE NIYO SABIHIN NA NAGAMIT NAMIN YUNG INTERNET AND NAKA PAG AVAIL KAMI NG PROMO PLANS NIYO. EH KASO HINDI EH, WE DIDNT USED YOUR FUCKING INTERNET DAHIL FUCKED UP PALAGI AND 3WEEKS LANG NAGAMIT.
    TAKE NOTE NA SUSPENDED PA ASAWA KO DAHIL SA KABOBOHAN OR KAPANGITAN NG SERVICE NA PINAPATUPAD NIYO. KAYO NGA DAPAT DYAN ANG DAPAT EH DEMAND DAHIL SA INYO MATATANGAL ASAWA KO SA TRABAHO. PURO KAYO SALITA WALA KAYO SA GAWA, PURO CGE SIR INTAY NIYO LANG CALL NG TECHNICAL…. PERO WALA PA RIN. NAUUUPOD NA MGA DALIRI NG MGA CUSTOMER NIYO AT FRUSTRATED NA FRUSTRATED NA WALA PA RIN….. PUWEDE NIYO GAWIN NEGOSYONG PANDARAYA YAN, WHAT IF MARAMI MAG SUBSCRIBE SA INYO, SABAY GANYANIN NIYO RIN. KABIT PALPAK NA MODEM SABAY ALIS, TAPOS DI NIYO BIGYAN NG SERBISYO, DI NAGUSTUHAN TAPOS NG CUSTOMER AT PAPAPUTOL SIYEMPRE BABANAT NIYO YUNG CONTACT FOR 2YEARS SO CUSTOMER MUST PAY 3MONS OF HIS PLAN. EH DI INSTANT TUMUBO KAYO DAHIL SA BOND CONTRACT. SO PANDARAYA YAN GINAGAWA NIYO. DAPAT CASE TO CASE BASIS YAN. DAPAT NGA MERON KAYO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE DAHIL PERWISYO LANG. IF EVER PAGBABAYARIN NILA AKO EH DI SISIRAIN KO PANGALAN NIYO. I WILL EMAIL EVERYBODY KAHIT SINO NASA LISTAHAN KO NG EMAIL MAPAKANO, EUROPEAN, OR HAPON AND TELL THEM THAT PLDT DSL IS VERY VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE NIYO AND PANDARAYA NA GAGAWIN NIYO.     Anyway yun lang ang opinion, concerns sa other dsl subscribers and karanasan na nangyari sa akin sa DSL.

    PLDT (P*** Labo DSL Talaga!!!) That’s what pldt means, we’ve been down for over 1 week and their 171 Tech support does not even escalate the downtime to their chain of command. I had to call the actual account manager to get things moving. Damn, no CIR (Certified Rate) for rebate, nothing. The tech guy said he’ll call, and yes he calls, and say’s “paki check” of course nothing as usual, then he promises to call again to do some ‘tweaks’ to their system. Then I don’t receive a call after that, I have to call 171 the next day again and the cycle repeats itself all over again. Hell 171 itself is a nightmare to get thru and when you do get thru, you’re treated that your downtime is a new ticket number. I’m up to my neck their service.

    PLDT sucks bigtime. The status says you’re connected but you can’t view pages. They limit the bandwith, upload and download rate. Charge high. Then when we moved ( changed house) only a few blocks away, they promised that my dsl will be transferred with the phone line, but I had to wait 1 1/2 months for them to get it fixed. Worst is they charged me for it. I didn’t even get to use it.

    i applied for dsl oct 11. the modem was installed/connected on oct 16 - impressive…ang bilis ha…so i started using kasi pldt claims na pwede 24/7. the next day oct 17, i was still able to use it to my heart’s desire - taking a break in between meals…siempre excited…bagong kabit kasi ang bilis pa mag-download…i got the EXCITE package. then i had dinner…after dinner, when i wanted to use it - aba, disconnected na! hoy, pldt, mahusay lang ang commercials…butch jimenez yung picture mo nakaprint pa sa mga flyers nyo…pero products and service nyo bulok…i don’t know you pero nakakahiya to be “the Model” for something that truly sucks…then if i decide to terminate my subscription magbabayad ako ng 3 months advance? anuyun? pambayad sa inyong naka puwesto jan? masyado na kayo…kung hindi man kayo mismo ang karmahin…mga anak nyo ang dadapuan ng karma…at buong pamilya at angkan nyo…leche! halatang nasa third world nga ang pilipinas! ayusin nyo na connection ko (along with the rest na may complains)…

    im from west fairview, i’ve been using pldt dsl for over a year now because i have no other choice. i definitely agree with all you guys, PLDT DSL sucks! terrible customer service, both sa hotline at sa main office! macalua, if you thought 7 days was long, well try losing ur internet connection for 24 days!!!! yes, it happened in my area about two months ago…im working from home, so internet is my main business so you can just imagine how agonizing those 24 days were for me!!! i wrote every pldt address i could get hold of, but to no avail.. when finally my line was restored, i trooped to pldt’s fairview office to have my rebate, they gave it to me, but about 2 weeks after, i received a disconnection notice because they said i had an outstanding balance —which was the exact amount of rebate they gave me for 24 days of non-service!!! F^&%#ck them! I again went to PLDT’s office to argue my case, but the women at the customer service counter plainly told me to pay up or else my line would be cut!!! HORRIBLE!!!! Of course I did not pay, but you can just imagine the argument that transpired between us, for someone who does customer service for a living, those people at the PLDT office simply, plainly sucks!!!! they don’t listen to their customers, they give a million lousy excuses, and they even cut me off while i was citing my points. haay, my lamentations can go on and on….i just don’t understand why PLDT simply refuses to act on these matters. it’s so unprofessional and short of stealing from people who honestly pay for their services from honest day’s work!!! i just plainly hate them, and keep on praying that some other reputable company offer its services in my area…

    and oh by the way, just another point to prove pldt’s lousy, sucky service, im working in yet another internet cafe because my connection bummed out last night. the customer service people said they’ll check on it within the day, but i swear from experience that they’re lying through their teeth. and yes, i am still receiving disconnection threats monthly for not paying the rebate they gave me for 24 days of non-sevice. STUPID ASSHOLES, HOPE YOU SIMPLY BURN IN HELL FOR RIPPING OFF PEOPLE WITH YOUR LOUSY SERVICE!!!

    the original plan was for me to get weroam cuz i stay in my dorm which has no internet connection. kaya lang its too expensive. i have a new laptop and my old one is gonna stay at home for my sister’s to use. plus, we had to connect to the internet to chat with my uncles and aunties sa states. so we planned to get connected to pldt mydsl. pero, takuut na ko!!!

    Well. I’m still pissed at PLDT. They don’t even have a comments section on their PLDTmyDsl site coz they probably know that a lot of people will make bad comments about how much their service sucks. Especially that customer service hotline. Stupid people always telling me there is something wrong with my computer but I’m using a brand new high end computer, then they told me that if I have another computer then try it on that one so I used my laptop well still didn’t work. Sheeesh. Then they told me to unplug the modem coz it must be overheating… what?! My room is airconditioned. So wala na xang masabi then told me that they’ll send a repairman soon. So no one arrived, until after 1 1/2 month dumating na yung repairman. Siningil sakin yung 1 1/2 month na di ko nagamit yung internet.

    Dapat tlaga gumawa tayo ng message para sa PLDT, and if you would look madami pang forum na nagrereklamo about PLDT. Damn them. I want to sue them, let’s sue the crap out of them. Maybe we’ll get rebates, faster speeds and better services.

    But then again. Libre naman mangarap eh.

    There’s nothing wrong with your PC. Having a 24-hour airconditioned room for your PC w/ aDSL connection is also not a recommended environment.

    PLDT subscribers will experience intermittent connectivity if we’ll only rely on just the modem alone. Pangit ang equipment nila. Too basic. Biruin mo myDSL XCel (formerly MyDSL Residential Professional) is worth P3,000! It’s equivalent to at least $58!

    Hindi sulit ang binabayad ko (at sigurado ako, lahat ng PLDT DSL subscribers) dahil ang modem na binibigay nila ay hindi nakatutulong sa pagbawas ng mga common interference.

    I am a PLDT MyDSL subscriber since 2000. I was stupid for the first 2 years. Tiniis ko ang patay-sindi na connection dahil akala ko normal lang sya.

    I made my own research. I asked around. In any country and not just true only in the Philippines, DSL service offered by the local phone company itself is totally unreliable most of the time. The best way is to get the services of an independent ISP. Kapag may dumating na independent ISP dito (like http://www.dslextreme.com), lilipat ako without any hesitations whatsoever.

    The best way is setting up a GATEWAY (firewall capability doesn’t need to set-up). Kahit DSL mode + gateway + wireless combo is good (e.g. http://www.2wire.com adsl modem).

    More than 2 years ago, wala pa kasing mga combo equipement. Hiwalay pa yung modem at gateway. Last year lang yata lumabas sa 2wire yung dsl gateway nila na nasa website nila ngayon.

    Anyway, kahit na-setup ko na yung equipement, mabagal ang pasok ng data kasi luma pa ang port systems nila in most areas.

    Alam n’yo ba kung bakit nagtitiis ako sa PLDT? Dalawa lang ang pwede kong piliin na nag-o-offer ng DSL service. Mayabang ang PLDT kasi alam nila na no choice ang mga tao. Kapag may independent ISP na dito, lilipat ako kaagad.

    I hate PLDT. I was one of the early subscibers when DSL was rolled out in the Philippines and since then, I was bothered by high prices, slow speeds and constant down times.
    But since early this year, they have been really pissing me off. I would get inconsistent speeds, that range from very fast to worse than dial-up speeds (like now, downloading Itunes at 4.81kb/sec). Get this: when I try out the speed test at the PLDT web site, I am supposed to be getting 3.3-3.5Mbps. So much for deceptive marketing: run a fat fiber into the building and then having a flimsy backbone to the rest of the world. Great job PLDT!
    My streams are unstable and after a few minutes of streaming, the line would drop. Then the modem does a DC on a regular basis.
    I have a feeling that they are also trying to give VOIP users a difficult time by plugging up ports on a certain range at almost predictive times. This causes the lines to be interrupted one way or drop altogether making calls frustrating. And it is not the VOIP as I have 5 of these units scattered all over the world and it is only in Manila that two of these units do not work well.
    Tech suppost is useless and they know nothing. On top of that, they make you wait for tech to call you up. As if that was bad enough, they are late in doing so and often you sit there twirling your thumbs for an hour before they call back.
    When they do send someone over, they cannot figure out my constant disconnects and just do everything on a trial basis. They switch things around and exchange this and that and hope that it works out. To their credit, the guy who came over to service the line was very polite. However, there is still no resolution to the problem.
    Then one day our phone line was down and you could not call in. I infoed tech support and after some diagnosis declared that their lines are clean and that the problem must be with us. Yeah right. I live in a highrise and luckily through some convincing, I was able to enter the communications room with the building’s master key that is actually off-limits to everyone but PLDT. Well, it was a mess consisting of strands of cables, masking tape, open joints (talk about security), not updated directories, jumpers… just a rat’s nest really. We found out that there was a short on their side and we just fixed it up for them as PLDT was so adamant that all was ok with them. What a load of horse shit.
    They pride themselves that they have a fat fiber pipe that provides the high rise with a stable connection. True enough, there was one, but when I asked PLDT to move me to another port on the switch that is not defective, he admitted that there were not enough left to do so. Great.
    To cut things short: STAY AWAY FROM PLDT. Their marketing is great, but they do not walk the talk. All their touted speeds are limited only to their internal network and does not go beyond the country. If this were another country, they would already have been sued. In Canada, I have a 10Mbps link and not only do I connect to the provider at 1.2-1.3MB/sec, but a download from anyother site is 80-90% of the time in the 600-900kB/second range no matter where it is. So dont let PLDT tell you that it is not possible.

    hayop talaga mga pldt na yan, ako nga 3 weeks na walang connection. everyday 2 time ako tumatawag sa 172 ang sinasabi nila paulit ulit (delaying tactics). kht sa local center ng pldt dito sa lugar namin nagtatago mga staff nila pag may nagrereklamo. sa phone nalang, ang dami dami kong # nila almost 5, kht isa wlng sumasagot. kahit isang oras ka ng tumatawag. walang kwenta talaga pldt, kung may ibang choice lang ako, matagal na kong nagpadisconnect.

    Because PLDT doesnt care that you are paying more for nothing. They really do not care about existing subscribers. You will have to ask for an upgrade before they can switch your speed to 1.2Mbps.

    9) Did you get an upgrade after the call?
    HELL NO!!! I’m paying 2000 pesos for the speed of the plan 999 subscribers.

    Hi, I’m a subscriber of SmallBizLite 2mbps download and 768kbps upload connection speed. I am experiencing problems in connection speed especially when my customers are playing online games, like ServerScout, etc.

    On the day of the first installation of DSL connection on my shop, they connected it as personal or office use, meaning not really the applied SmallBizLite, they never even informed me about this. I just found out when the connection was lost and I went to their business office, here in Batangas. It was nearly a week before they fixed the problem. Like everyone said here, PLDT personnels don’t have much knowledge in what they are doing, that’s why they sucks. It’s the MANAGEMENT, that’s the PROBLEM, please improve it!!!

    They must be serious in what they are doing, that’s my piece of cent.

    They are not PLDT employees per se, but agents from a call center company hired by PLDT to “absorb” all the rants and complaints from unsatisfied consumers.

    They listen to your complain, and then read the corresponding solution on their computer screen. They are not competent IT specialists nor Computer Science graduates, but rather just regular people with extra training. Sadly, it’s not enough to handle delicate issues from violent customers.

    In a nutshell, a 12-year old kid would have known what to do with the internet problem.

    bulok talaga PLDT na yan, 5 days na kaming walang internet. bigla na lang na-DC, eh meron pa naman kami nung vonage na VoIP service, tapos birthday pa naman ng mom ko kahapon, i have to buy a budget card para matawagan siya sa US. napakawalang kwenta talaga ng PLDT na yan. puntahan ko pa lang after class (sa classroom ko kasi tinatype to kasi wala pa rin kaming internet sa bahay).

    2nd plan ko to ng PLDT, ung first plan ko lasts 15 months, tpos nung pinadisconnect ko na, ibinalik ko na yung modem. nung kinailangan ko magpakabit ulit (for some reason), sabi pa sa akin na di ko pa daw naibabalik ung modem. WTF??

    anyway, tanong ko lang kung legal ba na gamitin ung VoIP and ung router kung ang plan ng DSL mo eh ung pang-personal?

It’s not yet perfect and there are times when it can’t stay connected but for the greater portion of the clock’s turn, it works, enabling us to research, communicate with relatives, business partners and even school/s.

    Still there is room for improvement. You can do it Mr. Pangilinan. Please don’t take too long.

    PLDT: Is there any other alternative???

    I’ve been using PLDT for quite some time now and even applied for a business plan for my office last year. everything seemed to work fine until about June this year. I have one of the earlier plans from PLDT DSL which costs 1900 plus had the Small Business Junior Plan for the office which cost 2500. For Small Biz Junior, I was supposed to get bursts of up to 2.5mbps and upload of 768 kbps. From June til November 2006, all I was getting was a maximum of 600kbps download and 215kbps download. Usually it would average around 390kbps d/l and 190kbps u/l. Well so much for the 7 or 8 thousand ive been paying for every month. I called almost everyday for 2 straight months. PLDT really sucks. Just a tip for everyone calling, if you want something done quicker, ask for the supervisor, normally they would say their supervisor is not around, so ask for the team leader. If you get Jonas, you’re pretty much fucked as this is guy is one really stupid mother fucker that doesn’t give a shit in the world. One supervisor that gets thing things done is “Melisa Solano”. this if you call 172. I’ll try to recall all of the names of the people that are effective at their tech support and post them here.

    hnd ninyo ginagalaw tulad ng yahoo messenger, limewire basta kelangan laging may program n nagaacess sa internet.

    ive noticed na kahit plan 999 lng gamit ko 20 computers
    can access the internet without a problem tapos karamihan dun eh puro online games pa. bagong kabit palang yung plan 999 ko nun so daily ko chine-check yung speed. napinsin ko pataas ng pataas ung bandwidth(400kbps+) ko kahit plan 999 lng ako.

    since then ive tried to maintain my internet usage at ngayon lang nagloko december 27 yta hanggang naun dahil sa lindol sa taiwan dahil may naputol na cable. dun nakakonekta halos lahat ng internet traffic sa pinas, singapore, thailand, basta ung mga bansa sa southeast asia.

    try yo lang tips ko kasi ok kasi yung plan 999 ko. ang downside lang dun kung gusto ninyong connected 24/7 kelangan online lagi ym ninyo o kaya lagi kayo nagda-download basta kahit anong program na gumagamit ng internet. ung sa kaso ko hnd ko na kelangn ng kasi lagi naman nagiinternet mga customers ko eh tsaka dmi din naglalaro ng online games. pero pag madaling araw lagi din ako disconnected kapag hnd naka on yung yahoo messenger ko.

    isa p pla. pag na disconnect kayo tignan ninyo kung mainit na ung dsl modem/switch/router(maraming silbi ung itim na box na yun) kasi mabilis uminit un. try ninyong patayin muna tpos palamigin kung mainit. pero kung hindi naman mainit pero nadisconnect ka patayin mo lang tapos buksan mo agad. ok na yun connected ka na ulit basta wlang problema sa wiring mo. (ganyan ako lagi pag madaling araw.)

    kung gusto ninyo pala na mabilis ung download ninyo sa dsl try ninyo yung DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR PLUS. subok ko na to mabilis tlga.

    sana nakatulong ako para hindi na uminit ulo ninyo. ang may problema sa pldt eh yung management kasi ambobo ng mga empleyado nila.

    masasabi ko lng ok na tong pldt mydsl kesa wala at dial up. hnd ko madaya yung dial up eh mabagal tlaga. etong mydsl pwede p pabilisin

    How well your service does is dependent on your place, the condition of the server, etc. Some people who live in some places have no problem with an ISP while others who live elsewhere do. Some people who have problems and live in the same area have PCs that aren’t configured properly. One complains about customer service while another says that service was speedy. And you can’t switch right away because there’s a lock-down period. Sometimes, you might end up switching to a service that a friend recommends because it does well in his place, only to find out that it does badly in yours. Sometimes your service does well for several months until the server is changed, then you experience all sorts of problems.

    Your only solutions are:

    1. Learn how to tweak and fix your PC, modem, and router. Hope that technical is good enough to diagnose and fix local problems (like a faulty server in your neighborhood). Some companies have very good technical support in some places but not in others.

    2. Ask those who live nearby (not those who live in another city or district) and who subscribe to a service about the performance. Note that some who complain might have PCs or equipment (like modems and routers) that aren’t configured properly or that are defective.

    The best option, of course, is for companies to offer some sort of trial period.

Ginawa ko nagtawag ako sa PLDT Technical Service nila pero pinasa ako kc yung account ko daw local kaya dial ako sa local Technical Support nila pero pag tawag ko doon pinasa na naman ako sa corporate kc corporate account ako medyo nalilito na ako kc hindi ko alam na pinapasa pasa lng ako. Masyadong pangit talaga ang kanilang customer support tapos smedyo malaki ang binabayaran namin sa connection. Hindi ko alam kung kaelan ito cla matatauhan sa kanilang ginagawa…..pineperahan na nila tayo….I hope sana mag kaisa tayo at mag file ng class suite sa mga abusado na mga taga PLDT.

    di kasi basta basta puwede ka umalis sa PLDT ones your already signed a contract there. You will pay 2 mons of your bill when you will terminate your contract pag di mo natapos 1yr contract mo. So if your plan 3k meaning 6k plus yung bill mo total of 9k. All the people ask is good service. Kaso wala eh, wala na sila magagawa not unless ok lang sa kanila mag pay ng 2mons bill for the termination. Ako nga di ko binayaran bill ko as in, ngayon hinihintay ko na lang letter nila kung kailan nila gusto nila ako makita sa court.

    Saka di lang naman yun ang issue. They are attracting more FILIPINO people para na mamandaya nila. Alam mo yun, alam na nila my problema na INTERNET SERVICE nila they still AIRING that FUCKING worthless advertisement which really totally pisses me off kasi NANDADAYA na naman sila, and nag hahanap sila ng paraan para MALOKO nila KAPWA nilang FILIPINO.

    Hello po, I was reading yung mga comments nyo po about PLDTdsl, and so far in general lahat
    puro negative. hehehe. Gusto ko sana magswitch but base sa mga nabasa ko, wag na lng, baka
    matulad din ako sa SMARTBro na MAS MARUNONG pa ako sa mga cus-care nila (wala cla masagot sa aking, kc khit pano may alam ako sa mga cnsbi nila, kya lagi clang barado, hahaha). Currently, Im using
    SKYDSL, and so far ok nman cya, although may mga times na nagkakaproblem ako (which is nde
    maiiwasan), pero in terms of support, I can say, mas ok compare sa SMARTBRO, expect mo na
    nde aabot ng 24hrs at may tatawag or pupunta to check ur connections. Well in terms of mga
    service nila online, like pagpalit ng password (kailangan twag ka sa cus-care) or check ng
    email via web, yun ang wala cla. Pero I can say so far satisfied naman ako, nakakabitin nga
    lang yung SOD nila kc, usually mareach mo yung bilis tlga pag download usually mga around 3am
    hnggng 10am, tpos balik sa dating speed yung connection mo pag lagpas ng 10am.

    Anyways, tnong ko lng po kung mas ok ba ang cable vs dsl? kc ive heard kc sa ilang subs na ok nman, mas mabilis conneciton nila esp, pagdownload cla. Any1 can suggest kung ano ok na affordable pero mabilis, heavy user kc ako dhil mahilig ako magdwnload ng malalaking files. Thanks

    pldt sucks! service is sooooooo crappy, unprofessional people get to handle ur call and that’s not about it, they’ll put u on hold w/o prior notice and they don’t know what they’re talking about!? duh?! Working for a dsl provider in the US will make you see how they do things here. they don’t even know what customer satisfaction is. my connection always goes down and i have to call the idiotic people to report the problem even if i know that im more knowlegeable about this technical stuff. they’ll even advertise that this particular plan can support up to 3 pc’s when in fact there substandard modem can only support one bec. some stupid human being had an idea to lock the other ports on their modem. how stupid is that?! they can even be sued for false advertising, this can mislead people and they don’t even give credits for downtime. very very poor service.!!!!…im so disappointed! why don’t their people learn the technology 1st before giving stupid answers to customers’ inquiries. they will be losing customers and soon they have to eliminate dsl as one of their product line.

    PLDT is offering rebates due to the slowdown caused by the quake. Unfortunately they are only giving 20%. With unstable connections and bandwisths lower than half the speed of a 56kbps modem for 1 whole month I think 20% is not enough especially if you are subscribing for their highest speeds. They should give 1 month free or atleast 50% rebate.

    yep same goes with our company, isipin nyo cigarrette factory, our office is connected through dsl, ok naman sya dati, pero ngaun 30kbps >.> ano yun, our company pays shit for our connection, we tried calling customer service, but laging busy, pag nakausap ka naman ng operator then sabihin ung problem they are gonna pass you to someon else, like, ay mam dun po kau tumawag sa number na to, then dial ka nanaman sabay walang sumasagot, and yeah, they keep you waiting for shit load of minutes. One of our stock holders asked about something to one of our technitian, nakalimutan ko kung ano but he was asking kung ano ung mas magandang pagkunan nung sinasabi nya, our technitian sugested “PLDT” sabi nung stock holder namin, “No no i dont want pldt, our phone at home has no dial tone, i keep on calling them to fix it, its been weeks now, they havent come. i dont care anymore bahala sila” exact words. and as of now, ganun parin ang connection namin every 5 sec na didisconnect, then fastest is 30kbps wtf dsl ba un?

    I have been using PLDT 3 years nah! yep I all agree sa mga problema nyo about disconnection and intermmitents… sino ba naman ang di makakaranas ng ganyan sitwasyon sa PLDT!

    In my first 2 months highblood ang inabot ko sa kanila! everyday inuulan ko sila ng tawag… not to mention all the rebates sa connection ko, Plan999 ang kinuha ko… sa awa ng diyos binalik nila 2 months ko by adjusting my payment! pero after namin ma trace lahat ng possible cause, it took us 2 months to solve the problem! lahat ng trace ginawa nila at ako na rin. since I am an I.T. Consultant. nahuli din namin na ang ground connection ng Condo unit namin dito sa makati is grounded! I reported it to the admin and they worked on it! and wollah all went well! after that its all history!

    I would say sa lahat ng may mga bad experiences sa PLDT or other service providers! don’t be mean… I tell you kahit saan kayo lumipat na ISP they have their own problems too! case to case basis lang yan! I say makipag tulungan kayo sa tech support kasi its all worth it!

    3 years na ang lumipat at ang huling naging problema ko is after the earthquake last 2006. but its acceptable naman! in fairness sa mga tech support nila nag improve naman sila so far! I tell you there is no better connection than the PLDT. Its stable and always available!

    TIPS:
    try to change your DNS settings coz PLDT DNS is always down!

    bihira ang downtime! once in a blue moon lang! if you really are not satisfied and you don’t believe what I say? di ko na problema yun but if you need a professional advice I can help you out!

    Maraming ISP na akong nasubukan yep eastern is the best but expensive! PLDT is the second best in my list kahit ano ang mangyari!

    To those using Wi-fi! good luck sa inyo dahil mabilis lang kayo ng konti sa Dial-up kahit ano pa ang provider nyo kapag malas talaga kayo at maraming buildings billboards sa paligid nyo! sorry nalang sa inyo dahil surely mabagal ang connection nyo!

    Di ako taga PLDT! at lalong di ako binayaran para magsulat nito… Binabahagi ko lang ang magandang karanasan ko sa PLDT!

    Enough is enough.

    Sobrang hirap talaga tumawag kapag may problema sa PLDT. Maayos na dapat ang internet connection since naayos na yung undersea cables because of the Taiwan earthquake. Ang problema yung mabagal ko na connection since December 2006 hanggang early March 2007 hindi na nagbago. Oo nga nawala yung problema na hindi makapasok o di kaya mahirap pumasok sa ilang generic top-level domains (gTLD), country code top-level domains (ccTLD), at lalo na sa mga third-level domains (ex. en.wikipedia.org; “en” is a third-level domain). Ang nakakaasar, hindi na nawala yung mabagal na connection.

    OMG, enough is enough. So I decided to switch to BayanTel DSL. And I’ve never been happier. Twice the speed with the same price that I pay PLDT. Super ganda pa ng service.

As bogs said in his comment, PLDT is likely to end up with a multiple class suit if this stupid lag thing happened in the States.     I also agree with that, too, PLDT MyDSL was kinda crappy - contrary to what the advertisements showed during my covert Third Echelon mission in the Philippines, with a Formula 3 car speeding and a racer claiming about the service’s perks, the service acted sluggishly at times; there are times that the whole connection stuck up, and there are times that it performed as if I’m on 56K dial-up. I would like to sue them if I have the time, but it would be better if I infiltrated the PLDT headquarters and give them a taste of Splinter Cell business… As for Gian Marquez, it would be an act of vandalism if I or other people flamed or messed up PLDT’s article on Wikipedia…

PLEASE dont stop fighting for what is right i know you wouldnt be applying for the landline if not for that PLDT DSL, just an advise why dont you try putting it in a higher level go to the PLDT Main in makati or at espana and try to complain there? i wouldnt pass this if i was in your case THIS IS A CRIME SELLING SOMETHING IN BAD FAITH! the installion fee must be RETURNED TO YOU for a simple reason that you applied for the landline just to get the pldt in the laws of trade if a seller doesnt fullfill his obligation its means there is a breach of contract WHETHER VERBALLY OR WRITTEN you can even file for damages since they are not carefull enough to check if the dsl available or not in your area.

    after a month napuputol putol na naman. ayoko ng tumawag nagpunta na ko sa headoffice pakihintay lang daw yung dadating na technician.. juskupo! hintay na naman????!!!!! tas pinaparefund ko yung two weeks na walang internet kasi nung dumating ang bill ko walang bawas. pinakita ko pa mga listahan ng oras, araw, pangalan ng mga punyetang customer care parang ayaw pa maniwala. ifofollow up daw. tangina pati pa naman sa opisina follow up pa den.

    PLDT service sucks! bulok tlga! i applied for myDSL and i specifically told this guy (hus handling the application) that i want to use an existing phone number, which is line 2 for DSL. He gave me a service order number (SO#) and when i called 171, it was for tele-pwede (STRIKE 1)
    so i called this guy again and he gave another SO# but he used a different telephone number we have at home, which is line 1. and when i asked him if can change it to line 2, he said matatagalan pa. so i just said yes to line 1 (STRIKE 2).
    so i paid P888 the other day, and now, PLDT contractor called and said i should pay P1200 because the SO# is for new line, and not for existing line!!! (STRIKE 3)
    ang bulok bulok tlga. such a hassle just for an internet connection!!! and ang hirap pa nila tawagan!!! forever naka hold!!!!

    almost 1mos from now i had a bad experience from PLDT SMART BROD.actually i was applying for mydsl but they recommend me smart brod.more faster and easier,but what happen when they start to install,they said they can not reach the signal,they recomend me to add more 10feet antena or tubo na kalawangin and it is cost of 500ps.but even i could feel something fishy i agree with then here we are they check nowmy computer,they said there is built i lan card but no drivers.so!i gave my software inst.of lancard with drives,again they said they couldnt find the drives.so!they request us to buy a new lancard in their comp.shop.but actually my computer is new with built in lancard.just to finish quickly i ride on them…even i could feel already bad impression with this idiot technician….bukod pa npka lazzy..mukhang mga unggoy na galit sa pera…is this the right way of serving their customers,no offended but most of our kababayan mukhang pera,kahit maganda na at disenteng trabaho na nilalagyan pa ng monkey bussines,how they can grow and develop….look smart brodband pldt zamboanga city,i hope you can read my line here..im not an idiot and crazy to pay for 1yr expiration with out any internet ,using…ahh!do you think we just born yesterday….please stop doing like this to your customers…..its good sales talk at the beggining ha! please if you dont want accept cancellation then you do it.we already purchased new lancard dont make us wait till next year cause we paid already the installation and with 500 more that tubo…dont make us kept on going to your office and call your office……be a good service accordance to your add…

    I have this problem with PLDT since ….ewan ko bah…lagi na lang me problema P-!@#$%! yan…
    1 month na ako naghihintay para lang makabitan ng bagong linya…halos araw araw akong tumatawag sa knila.. at ang laging sinasabi ay pakihintay na lang po sa location ng kakabitan yung repairman namin…so eto naman akong si tanga..hintay nga ako dun sa location…9am - 5 pm naghintay ako .. P-!@#$% wala ni isang taga-PLDT na dumating.
    The next day tawag ulit ako sa kanila, sorry daw kasi baka madami lang ginagawa yung repairman at di napuntahan agad, pero sure na daw ngayon na mapupuntahan. Hintay ulit ako, ganun na naman, dumating ang 5pm - wala maski anino ng PLDT na dumating.
    Tawag ulit ako, kulang na lang masira yung telepono na gamit ko sa inis ko sa mga bobong customer support ng PLDT.
    Ginawa ko na lang pinuntahan ko na lang yung exchange nila dito sa area namin kung san nagmumula yung mga repairman. Tinanong ko kung andun na yung request ko(service order ?) para sa phone connection. After checking matagal na pala andun, kaso natatabunan lang nung mga bago request. Yung iba nga tingin ko nawawala na dahil sa sobra dami. Tapos sabi ko na samahan ko na sila sa location ko para di na sila maligaw pa. After that saka lang nakabitan ng linya yung telepono ko.
    Reason kasi sa akin nung mga repairman na konti lang sila at sobre dami ng trabaho kailangan gawin. That time 2 lang yata yung available sa area namin.
    Kung di ba naman katangahan nila na mag-assign lang ng konting repairman ay alam naman nilang madaming trabaho. Ano yan pagtitipid pa rin ???? Tinitipid nila yung serbisyo nila.
    Kausap ko rin yung guard nila habang hintay ko yung reapirman, sabi ba naman na nagtitipid nga daw sila ngayun sa electricity bill nila. Na pati ba naman yung mainframe yata nila ay tinanggalan na daw nila ng aircon at binuksan na lang nila ang room para daw di ganun mag-init. P-!@#$% katangahan yan. Hindi na ko magtataka kung lalong dadami yung masisira na linya.

    Ngayon tumatawag pa rin ako halos araw araw sa PLDT para naman sa intermittent connection ng DSL ko.

    PLDT is killing every subscriber.

    IT IS NOT A REASON FOR PLDT THAT THEY HAVE A HANDFULL OF REPAIRMAN. SERVICE IS SERVICE AND MUST SATISFY ALL CLIENTS AND I MEAN ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

    So sad… Today the repairmen from PLDT came to our house to fix I can say that the my DSL is FIXED but at what cost, slow speed. Here were my problems, its been going on for 4 months already.. At first my line started to disconnect at night, the dsl would disconnect then come back online again, so i called 172, I wont be needing to explain anymore since all you people out there already know what happens when you call their technical services, So i waited, and then they called back, and I said that my internet still disconnects at night. Then maybe a week or 2 weeks later, my internet couldn’t connect anymore as in I can’t connect, the error was 678 always, so i call again 172, then as usual told me to wait, ever since then for a month I would always follow up, calling 172 and the usual they said that the technician will call me to check if i was connected already, during those times they said it was probably something wrong with the modem. Then after one month and a week later, the technician of pldt in our area called and said they were coming over, and so they did, they came and replaced the modem. But still I got the error 678, the technician had no clue, they were like just fidling around my pc, checking the ipconfig and stuff, but still none, error 678. So they said that maybe it was the port in the pldt office in our area, so they left and told me that they would call me later, but after that I waited and still no call, so again i called 172 for a week and they finally found the problem, they told me they can connect there but here at home i still couldnt, so they came back to our house just to reconfigure the new modem, because they forgot to configure the modem because it was new, and that was the reason why i cant connect. After that I got my connection, it was ok for a day, my connection was fast, but then the next day, at night from 6:30 pm to 8:00 am my connection would always disconnect and connect, but at day time no problem at all. I am so happy during day times because my download speed is so very high, but at night no connection. This went on for a month, i always called 172. So after a month the technician came back again, this time they were going to check the wiring and they rewired the line going to my modem to route it in a different way because they thought it was the wiring inside the house that was wrong. So after that they left, and later on that night still the same disconnection, so next time i called the office because this time the technicians left a number. So then they came back again, and then they said they would change the wiring at the posts outside somewhere. Then they left, but then again still the same disconnection. So i called again the next day. Then the technician would ask for a job order to replace the port in the office and told me to wait. So i waited and until today they came back and this time they got the permission to change the ports or something their office. But to what sacrifice, After they changed it, I was no longer able to use the dialer to connect, instead I am using the ip address and I am constantly connected to that address, so I am always connected. So I dont need to use my password and user namen anymore. Then the speed is super slow, it takes forever to download. I was much happier when during the day time my download speed was faster then it would disconnect at night, rather than now, where the speed is super slow. At least my downloads is able to be finished faster. So in the end the technicians couldnt find my problem, in the end they did trial and error. My theory is the reason for the disconnection is due to the over loading of information and downloading that during the night it would start disconnecting. Because usually the connection during the day time was EXcellent, but night it sucks. I rather have that than now where my speed is so slow. And also I would to be able dial for connection to the internet rather than being online all the time. The reason why we all have problems is because PLDT really doesnt know where to fix it in the first place all they do is guess and use trial and error. I wish that PLDT would eventually improve their services as many people are unsatisfied with the service they have provided. Wake up.

    I applied before at PLDT though I already forgot the name of the dsl promo, waited for 3 weeks, then when I followed up at their office - they told me they no longer had that promo - so I was waiting for nothing for 3 weeks. Good Lord!! They even had decency to accept my application for the promo then make me wait 3 weeks then say the promo is not available anymore. :/

    But that was also a blessing, after that I applied at Bayan Tel Sky DSL and like magic within 3 days! not 1 week! just 3 days my DSL connection is up and running. Even if not very fast, Sky DSL is MUCH MUCH faster than my original dial-up connection (can download a 180mb file in 30 minutes). I applied for the cheapest Sky dsl promo btw, and so far I have no problems with it. :)

    Hey guys, I’m a PLDT MyDSL subscriber for 8 months now. I’ve read the rants here and all this time I thought I was alone then I realize that what I’ve experienced was universal to all PLDT subscribers.

    Here’s my sad experience to share with you:

    First 3 months (Oct. to Dec. 2006) :

    slow connection 30 kbps DL speed (didn’t checked the bandwith)
    disconnected almost every 10 minutes to 5 minutes interval sometimes 2 minutes then got disconnected again.
    dropdown signal but still connected however cannot download anything from browser to limewire.

    didn’t complain or bothered to call for technical staff

    December 2006 to March 2007:

    Same problem but this time it gets worst mainly because there is an earthquake in Taiwan. DL speed now at 15 to 20 kbps.

    March to April:

    DL speed went back to 30 kbps average…. I don’t know now if that is the fastest average speed for DSL Plan 999. I hope someone shed some light for me here.

    Still getting dropdown signals and disconnection

    Mid May

    The worst since the earthquake in December, DL speed is now 6 to 8 kbps, that’s right, a dial-up speed for a price of a DSL.

    Called for repair service and it took about a week to have technicians coming in to check my unit. After their fixing and experimenting it went back to normal 30 kbps download speed. So I’m glad that they fixed it. Plus they seemed to fix my regular disconnection and dropdown signals, although I’m still experiencing it but the interval is wider now for about 1 hour, 2 hours or if i’m lucky 5 hours of contineous connection.

    SAD TO SAY, they’re just allowing me to taste something really good that I can’t seem to have.

    Just about 4 days later, it went back to dial-up level at 5 to 6 kbps download speed with a bandwith speed of 40 to 60 kbps.

    Now, is this also the case to most of you guys right now? Cos at this point for 2 weeks…. that is the only speed I got and been calling PLDT hotline for help daily but to no avail still under a heartbroken DSL subscriber.

    That is all….. Just like everybody else…. here is what I’m going to say

    PLDT SUCK BALLS!!!!

    Sigh! feeling a little bit better now after saying that. Good luck to all of us.

    if your downloading speed is 30kbps your running approximately at 256kbps AND THATS NOT WHAT YOUR PAYING FOR. you should get NOT LESS THAN 53kbps downloading speed approx running 512kbps (MUST NOT FLUCTUATE below that speed) considering normal traffic from the server your downloading from.

    pldt its a BIG NO NO!

    WIFI = isa pa yan dami ko friends nagpaputol na ng wifi

    bayantel e1 ko lang pero mabagal din ksi ung bayantel sa akin plan 899 ako ksi sa bayantel kaya UP TO 384kbps lang so meaning ng UP TO ay fluctuating din tapos lagi bumibitaw sa server sa case ko e1 ko kung stable sa iba pero gamit ko lang ksi un sa emails kaya d ako masyado apektado ung sa home apektado ako sa pldt ko dahil pang gaming downloading ko un e

    GLOBE e1 ko lang kung maganda globe but i will definitely try it ksi kung mag sesearch ka regarding sa kapalpakan sa globe wala masyado results not like pldt ang dami

    Skycable broadband = dont have a clue with other cables company kung maayos

    KEEP ON GETTING REBATES BAWAS DIN YAN SA BILLING AND PARA MABAWASAN SALES NGPLDT KAHIT PAPANO SA KAWALAN KWENTA SA SERVICE

    Can leave the pc on for 2 days - no disconnections at all. Speed is also constant, as I said before can download 180mb file in 30 mintes. I leave the pc turned on before sleeping then in the morning, I would have many files already downloaded via uTorrent.

    Well people can say my speed is slower than PLDT Mydsl, but at least my connection don’t give me problems at all. Been using it for more than 6 months now - and still no problems.

    When applying to any Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) ask first what kind of connection will they provide for you. As for me “Wireless” is slower than “Wired” connection. And Static connection is much better than DHCP or PPPoE. Thus, ask for “Wired” connection or CableDSL for higher bandwidth then ask for Static type of connection!… Smart Bro is using DHCP and it is wireless. Therefore it Sucks!

    i live in Mandaue, Cebu and i never had a continuous signal EVER! i’m such a sucke for sticking it out with them. The customer service is great though. But I still need my internet. But after reading pldt comments i might stick it out some more as i’ve applied for a static address. We’ll see next week.

    After 1 yr & 3 months of Globe broadband i’ve complained for 4 times. So I guess it ain’t THAT bad. or is it?

    Hindi masyado nakakalat un issue kaya walang ginagawa PLDT. Pero pag makakasira na talaga sa “image” nila na pangit naman talaga sa simula pa lang, e di baka mapilitan sila ayusin un serbisyo nila.

    Oo nga pala, isang buwan na ako sobrang bagal ng internet. Mas mabilis pa prepaid card. Tapos nawawalan pa ng connection.

    Tsaka nilalabag nila consumer rights. Nagbebenta sila ng serbisyo na hindi naman ginagampanan.

    Hi, first of all, let me introduce myself. I’m Jan Montano, an ordinary makati employee, who needs a fast and reliable internet service like everybody else. I’m one of those many who depends on the internet for work use and personal needs. I think, PLDT, being one of the largest ISP here in the Philippines should be the one to setup standards for other Telco with regards to quality and service they provide. But I’m just being idealistic.

    I’m just tired of dialing 171/172 everyday to follow-up my report. I always call PLDT support/helpdesk because I know they are the right channel to report my concern. But I always hear the same line of scripts from them. Is this really the PLDT way? They always tell me that they have 24-48 hours turnaround time, but God knows it’s not true. We just rented a new unit and applied for a DSL immediately because we need it for work. I know this has no impact on you, but it has an impact on us. Ever since the modem was installed July 13, I haven’t been able to connect yet. I call your support group numerous times already, and you could check the log or the voice record if there’s any to review the resolution and the response they always give me, network problem/configuration problem,forwarded to IT, the works. I don’t blame them, because they’re there to help. I blame the system.

    You could just google “PLDT Quality of service” or “PLDT sucks” and you’ll never get bored reading the different stories of users like me, not to mention those fed up and frustrated ones who were waiting for months.

    This is what bothers me most. I already received my bill i think a week after my phoneline was connected. phone + 2k dsl plan amounting to 4k+. Good job. And the installation fees refers to? I asked 171 and told me that I need to settle my bill first before applying for reimbursement. 2k+ is not easy for money for me. I just want it well spent.

    I would just like to add na from time to time, napuputol and DSL link nmin (I know so, because nka off ang LED. Galing analyze noh, parang PLDT tech. Wahaha!) and goes back on after a while. However, may mga times na sobrang tagal nya bumalik. I report it everytime, but i always hear the same old lines… “Sir nagawan ko na po ng report, paki leave on the lang po modem para ma monitor…” Rinereport ba nila talaga ito? E ba’t paulit ulit ang problema? Meron pa one time, gus2 itulak sa router ko ang problem, e ala ngang ilaw un modem e… very good talaga yan mga nagpapanggap nyong tech guys. If you’ll be acting like lng that u know something, could you PLEASE LANG, do a better job of it? I simply told him “alam ko na kung paano ayusin ang problema, kaso ipabalik mo muna internet connection ko.” (itong hunghang na ‘to…)

    We had to endure for SIX F-U-C-K-I-N-G WEEKS. The moronic sysadmin/repair guy was able to repair it within a few minutes without coming to our office because it was apparently a minor problem that was fixable on their end.

    I know someone who had to wait 2 FUCKING MONTHS just because their IP address was changed and PLDT did not inform them of it all that time.

    PLDT support personnel should be lined up in a firing squad and shot to death - the whole bunch of them, from the CSRs all the way to the repairmen/sysadmins and whoever designed their perversely useless support system.

    what must be done today, they wait 2 months to do it if ever.
    My PLDT myDSL has been intermittent for the whole months of February, March, June, July and now August of 2007. What I cant understand is that most of the time the problem is just configuration error which can be fixed in a few minutes.
    Let us all boycott PLDT so that PLDT will know it cannot ignore its customers with impunity.

    PLDT sucks. They have been overcharging me. You know the Guild Wars promo last year? I availed it last March 27, 2006. It’s supposed to be charging me for 1 year only but until now they’re still billing me with that!

    Another thing is I lost connection from July 23, 2007 to August 2, 2007 and it’s their fault because they already told us that the error was on their side (Loss of configuration or something like that). They told me that they will give me a rebate… but my billing came and they didn’t even deduct it!

    I’ve been complaining to PLDT every year for 6 years already. I’m a PLDT myDSL Professional subscriber since 2001. That’s 3000 a month and they still have crap service.

    PLDT sucks I wish I could bomb the corrupt people there.

    oh and another thing… yeah i’m using the professional package… but my speed is just the same as their plan 999. sucks.

I dont think complaining to DTI would do any good since im pretty sure that the officials there have already recieved generous sums of money not to do anything against the godforsaken company. My connection speed is still 30% of what im supposed to be using and ive calling customer (dis)service for the past 2 weeks and i keep on getting the same god damn stupid answers that make no damn sense. I really hope the people who are responsible for this DSL service will get theirs in the end and i hope that they and theyre family and friends suffer a long and painful life ahead of them.     hello guys, im using MyDsl then pareho lang tayo may problema sa connection…RAN ONLINE NAMIN hindi gumana, ang masasabi ko lang… yong technical support nila or yong NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ang may PROBLEMA, parang pinag practisan lang ang kanilang servers, dpa nila makuwa ang STABLE CONNECTION, DNS nila palaging down…..ano ba yan…..kaya pag tumawag kayo yong Network Administrator yong kausapin nyo…at sabihin nyo KAYA MO PA BA!!!!…….pag ganito palagi ang problema lipat na kayo sa ibang provider……..para wala na kayong masasabi…mura kac MODEM nila ginagamit ……………………………………….ahay………..

    After using myDSL for two days, ok pa speed. After that got very disapointed na. So I quickly reported it to pldt. They said that my complaint is already forwarded to Technical Support. Haynako! Its been weeks na, wala pa rin!

    kapapakabit ko lang ng SmartBro last Wednesday… so far, ok naman connection with a sustained average speed of 80-110 kbps, depende daw kasi sa Area nyo, kung malapit kayo sa Cellsite the closer the faster… na reach ko highest is 120kbps… lowest 70kbps, my brother is using SmartBro for 1 year now… nagdagdag pa sya ng additional account, as for me satisfied namin me sa service, kasi tested na namin, although SmartBro is still under PLDT ok pa rin sakin, excuse lang po sana sa lahat na makakabasa: “matoto po tayong mamaluktot kung maliit ang kumot… REMEMBER and Philippines ay kabilang pa sa 3rd World Countries, NO WONDER the TECHNOLOGY is so low, cause we cant afford it yet as of now, we are still a developing country, NOT to mention the corrupt form of government we have, come to think of NBN-ZTE controversy… BUTI NA ANG MERON MABAGAL NA INTERNET KAYSA WALA DIBAH?!     sakin naman walang problema sa ngayon, yung mga customer service lang walang kwenta kasi nung una sa 171 ako nag apply ng dsl, ok, kinuha ahat ng info sakin, id number, tec, then sabi more or less 1 week daw bago makabit, ok naghintay ako 1 week, wla, 2 weeks wala pa rin, tumawaga ulit ako, sabi mag i-e-mail daw ng form sakin tpos i-fax ko daw, ok so nag hindtay ako ng email wala rin dumating.. pumunta na lang ako sa branch ng pldt samin at dun ako ang apply hay nako, nagbayad lang ako for modem at 1 month advance ayun kabit na pag uwi ko dala ko na yung modem ok na. di katulad sa operator parang tinaamad umasikaso ng mga ganun

    In fairness to PLDT, tingin ko depende sa location yan e, kasi ako simula nung magpakabit sa PLDT 512kbps plan e lagi ko na nakukuha yung speed na 512kbps at minsan lampas pa. Dati kasi Bayantel ako plan384kbps pero 130kbps lang average up/download ko after just 1 month of usage. Kaya naisipan ko mag apply sa PLDT dahil sabi saking ng lineman bago day yung linya ng DSL. Siguro wala pa gaanong Subscriber dun sa lugar namin Abad Santos, Tondo, Manila kaya Hataw ang Speed ko. Dami na kasi naka Bayantel dito sa min kaya mabagal na.

    I’m a first time PLDT myDSL subscriber & I’m beginning to have double thoughts on subscribing. First of is that a few days after having my DSL connected, nawala and DSL for 2-3 days. Secondly, we called the customer service hotline, often busy and hindi pa 24/7 and service. They got to fixing our DSL connection only after 2 days. Next is when I got my first bill ang laki ng charges. Tapos ang sabi sa advertisement nila free ang NDD calls (PLDT to PLDT) pero may charge pa rin na nilagay sa current bill charges ko na calls. Then there’s a P14+ charge para sa city electrician inspection fee eh ni wala akong nakitang anino ng sinasabi na nag-inspect. Tapos may cost of equipment pa na P1071+. Nagbayad na kami ng P1,200 na initial payment na modem fee. Anu ba talaga PLDT!? Ayaw ko sana maniwala na ganito kapangit ang service ng PLDT myDSL pero totoo nga. I’m not stupid and I’m not uneducated. Di sa pagmamayabang, doktor ako and I pray na hindi kayo, mga PLDT employees, mapunta sa hospital that I work in kung hindi eh hindi ko alam magagawa ko sa inyo.
    As to the speed, hindi constant. I applied for plan 1299 with up to 512 kbps speed pero most of the time eh below 100 kbps ang speed. Ayusin nyo naman service nyo.Honest people are being robbed by this company who advertise good service but do not deliver. Sana may maglakas loob sa XXX OR Imbestigador na sabihin ang problem na ito kasi maraming napeperwisyo. Kawawa kaming mga baguhan. When my lock-in period is finished, I’m definitely going to transfer my ISP to Bayantel or other companies who can give my money’s worth and who won’t charge me ng kung anu-anu.

    I was planning to subscribe to PLDT MyDSL from SmartBRO (I need more speed), until I’ve found this article, SmartBRO was a good provider for my vicinity (Bagumbong, Caloocan) even if they just shut it off when rain comes. Maybe for some of you, because your vicinity is to weak for a great connection/stable ones. I had tweaked my connection forcing the connection to be exactly 384k. Fortunately, it’s up to 408k now (Connection is 10.0MPBS by LAN)!!! I’m sticking up with BRO until my contract is finally done. FYI, I’ve been subscribed to SMARTBRO 1 1/2 years from now. PLDT myDSL must be a hard choice.

    To help you have the best internet performance, use Mozilla Firefox, Internet Download Manager (I prefer because of its simplicity and boosted performance) and try to learn to tweak your system.

    If you’re torrenting (Windows XP only), use BitTorrent, turn off all your security settings (Firewall, Automatic Updates & Anti-Virus), and try to be patient for peers to come.

    Well, it seems that his getting trouble about the line which is interrupted by tapping (Illegal users). Reported then done. He’s getting the speed of 958k-1.026Mbps (downloading-147-198kb/s). Use Modem Booster if you have problems (Torrent/Rapidshare/Megaupload), it’s pretty useful for surfing/video streaming. I prefer you use Firefox 2/3 Beta 5. It really kicks ass!

    bago pa lang ako sa PLDT myDSL (plan 512kbps), after 3 days nagloko na sobrang bagal, nakukuha kong speed sa speedtest.net is 10kbps-96kbps Download Rate…nagreklamo ako March 20, ‘08 sunod sunod na araw up to this day… Niremote testing na, pinuntahan na ng technician, wala pa ring nangyare. Ang pagbabago lng nagstable na ung speed simula nung nagchange port sila nung April 24, ‘08, kaso ang kapalit, every 6:00 PM ONWARDS nag oon and off ang DSL light ko, di na sia magamit ng ganong time… I’ve been suffering for 1 and 1 week na sa PLDT, pero sinisingil pa rin ako ng fix (1,299)…. di na tama ito, sana may makabasa nito at mag-isip isip muna bago mag-apply sa kanila, mahirap na dahil magkakasakit ka sa puso…

    Hey guys. I just wanted to share my experience with PLDT and how to deal with them. I have been dealing with PLDT personnels for almost a year now regarding my DSL connection and plan. I am subscribed to their Professional Plan (Plan 3000). By then, when I applied for it, they offered a speed of up to 5Mbps. Take note - 5 Mbps. After signing up for this plan, about 2 months later, they changed it to Plan 3000 to a speed of up to 3 Mbps.

    Before I applied for that plan, I specifically asked them the difference of the 3 different plans they offer - Plan 999, 1995 and 3000. They said that each of them has a different speed levels which is “up to” 1 Mbps for the plan 999, 2 Mbps for plan 1995 and 3Mbps for plan 3000. But take note of the words “up to”. I told them that I don’t care about the maximum speed they can deliver but what my concern is the “minimum guaranteed speed” that each plan offers because that what makes it differs from each of the plans.

    So, the person in charge and another person from manila and another from cebu told me that the minimum guaranteed speed that I should be getting is 70% of the plan signed up for and an average of 80% speed all through out if my location is or about 1 KM from the port.

    Luckily for me, I am within 1 KM from the PLDT central office from which my DSL is connected. Unfortunately, with the plan that I signed up for, they can only deliver of less than 1.5 Mbps (test taken from the PLDT play which they have currently overhauled to give the “accurate” speed)which is still far below the 3.5 Mbps guaranteed speed.

    But before this scenario, the pldt play and the speedtest.net singapore sever registered a very high output for my speed which ranged from 4 Mbps to 6 Mbps even if my connection was very slow. I could tell that my connection was slow due to the video(s) in youtube, ebaumsworld, etc. that they keep on buffering. (Don’t get me wrong, I have a little program running if i browse the net and I have a fast speed computer with dual core 64 bit processor and 2 GB memory.) And to some of my test sites in which I have a benchmark of the speed every hour, (like testmy.net, 2wire.com, etc.) they show a very consistent speed. During peak hours, the testmy.net and 2wire.com show speed that’s almost consistent with my browsing but PLDT play and speedtest.net singapore sever shows a different story otherwise. No matter what time of day, PLDT play and singapore server showed a consistent of 4 Mbps - 6 Mbps speed. But that has changed all now. Singapore server and PLDT play is quite consistent with the testmy.net results.

    Enough for that, if you have complains about your DSL, make sure you know the terms or computer lingos or have somebody who knows computer very well to talk to the PLDT “network engineers”. You should demand that you need an “engineer” to fix your problem and not a “trained technician” of PLDT. A lot of their trained technicians don’t really know what they are doing. They will just give you “alibis” to satisfy you or give explanations which is actually not related to the problem you might be experiencing. You, as a subscriber and don’t know much about the networking, you tend to just accept their alibis. And in most cases, if the problem persists, what most of the technicians do is just tell you to reset your modem, turn off your computer or simply they will just reset the port of connection where your DSL is connected. You have to bear in mind though, that any resetting WILL ONLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM “TEMPORARILY”. If the problem is in the connection or the hardware or software which is most likely, the problem will still persist over time. The engineers should locate the real cause of the problem and fix it - not patch it by just pressing the reset button or powering down your system.

    Another thing, if you call their 171 or 172 support, be sure to log every phone calls you make. Make a spreed sheet that logs your call - date and time of call, agent you talk to, nature of call, comment regarding the call, etc. This is very helpful for future reference especially if you apply for a rebate.

    According to PLDT that they don’t issue rebate if the problem did not last longer than 24 hours. But this is a very bad practice. You as a paying customer, you should demand for a rebate regardless you were down for 1 hour, 2 hours or whatever - as long as you have a service interruption. Let us put this into logic, if they don’t give rebates to customers to a problem that did not persist for more than 24 hours, then they can interrupt their service for 23 hours a day and give you only 1 hour of service daily. Will it be fair enough for you especially if you are paying the full amount every month? The amount you are paying every month for your DSL service should be uninterrupted service for 24/7.

    You should call the 171-53 (log your call again) and apply for a rebate. If you have slow connection, complain and ask for rebates too. Tell the PLDT that you are not getting the service you are paying for.

    I hope every one will do what I am suggesting and advising. I need every one to do their share so at least PLDT will improve their service. Right now, I am getting a regular/monthly rebate of more than P2000 until they fix the problem.

    I saw your advertisement on the newspaper recently and I immediately tried to apply for a pldt mydsl quickinstall kit recently at PCExpress. It was a terrible experience for me and I think you should just sell the quick install kit yourself if your dealers like PCExpress will not make money on this. I am only assuming that because of the way they handled my application. I went to PCExpress at Gilmore, when I inquired about it they seemed to be ruluctant to sell. They only acknoledged that they had the quickinstall kit only when I insided that I saw their add in the papers. They kept on telling me that I had to fill up a lot of forms and had to present ID’s which to his dismay I presented immediately and asked for forms to fill up immediately because I was in a hurry. After getting my forms and ID’s the sales staff went inside and returned telling me I had to wait 30 min. so I did. “Matagal, 30 min” he said but I wanted to get started so I waited. I even asked about their promotions with pldt, while I was waiting, but he said that it was the same, “walang promo, pareho lang yan, me pldt o wala.” After more than an hour I was already concerned with my application and tried to follow up. He gave me shurgs and remarks ‘ang tagal nga eh’. Thirty minites more and I couldn’t bear it anymore, I insisted I get a hold of their phone and tried to call pldt 171. I had a hard time getting through, and when I got thourgh nobody could help me for some reason. Kept telling me to call 171, which I did, but kept coming to the technical suport, which did not know anything about such applications. I knew my application would not have problems because I asked pldt customer service first and my area had the service and my pldt line had an updated bill. Meanwhile, my sales clerk Harris just went on with his business, didn’t care that I was having a hard time following up my application. Went inside, got dressed and was ready to go home. I had to call him on his way out to ask him to explain my application. I called pldt again and insisted they talk to each other, he then proceeded to get my forms and talked to pldt. All this time, the staff inside was gigling, which made me feel they didn’t realy expect any reply from pldt, because they didn’t even proecees it, my ID wasn’t even photo copied and my forms where under his desk together with their pricelist! My valuable time was really wasted, the least they could have done was tell me they did not process such application.

    Guys, para malaman nio kung anung ok na isp provider sa area nio try checking it in speedtest.net and click global stats, nasa bandang taas sia ng web page. Asia> Philippines> Manila> Manila, depends which place you are, then click >show city stats and guess what, PLDT is the slowest ISP in Manila. It really depends on where you are. Check out the site speedtest.net hehe

    ang globe naman broadband lang and sinabi na 600 or less xa pero may bayad ang excess hours kasi given ka lang ng 30 hours per month at ang lalagpas dun may bayad na…so it means parang dial-up din xa….unlike PLDT na always on

    To all you guys mas malaki ang problema ko kesa sa inyo. Since day 1 gabi-gabi ho kaming walang koneksyon 8-12 midnight. Remember, HINDI PO MABAGAL ang koneksyon kundi WALA PO TALAGANG KONEKSYON. Halos namemorize ko na ang mga sagot ng mga CSR sa akin sa tuwing tatawag ako sa TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE na nakakabwisit. Like, Ma’am please hold on the line for awhile while checking your account, sorry for the inconvenience, Ma’am your line is under remote testing, Ma’am pwede ko pong makuha ang telephone number nyo? Ma’am pwede ko pong makuha ang name nyo? blah, blah, blah, etc. etc. etc. Bwisit! paulit-ulit na lang hanggang ngayon di pa rin nasolusyonan ang DSL namin. Ang masaklap pa dumating ang FIRST BILLING STATEMENT namin aba! nagulat ako kasi may advance, hehehe. Mga kapalmuks magaling lang sa koleksyon palpak naman ang serbisyo.
    So itinawag ko sa Billing Department asking for rebates kasi 3-4 hours gabi-gabi walang koneksyon at luging-lugi na ang internet cafe namin. Surprise! Sabi ng CSR sa akin, ma’am di ko po kayo mabibigyan ng rebates kasi ang report nyo is closed naman po ang nakalagay from Technical Department. So, I was asking her anong closed? closed ang account oh i-close na lang ang PLDT dahil sa palpak na serbisyo nyo, hehehe…Ang sabi ng CSR, nagawan naman daw po nila ng solusyon within 24 hours so walang rebates. How about sa 3-4 hours na walang koneksyon? Oo nga naibalik nila ang koneskyon pero wala na kaming customer kasi kadalasan bumabalik ala una na ng madaling araw.
    Ang kniclaim ko is yong 3-4 hours na walang koneksyon kung meron akong rebates pero WALA DAW PO TALAGA! Mga guys, folks waaaaaaaaaaa SYSTEM LOSS din ba ito?

    Hay! Alam nyo mga folks? Meron namang pumunta na mga repairmen dito pero sinabi talaga nila na marami ang pinanggalingan ng trobol at 16 yrs na daw sya sa PLDT but he couldnt explain the real problem. See mga folks kung gaano kalala ang problema namin?Need help here badly needed talaga…

    At ito pa mga guys ha! Yong technician from PLDT na nag-install sa modem namin maraming dinivulge about PLDT kasi nga desperate na kami sa nangyayari kaya sya namin tinext.

    Para naman pala tayong tanga kasi wala naman palang TECHNICIAN/IT SPECIALIST sa Technical Assistance pag gabi dahil off-duty na sila 8-5pm. Ang maganda daw naming gawin ireport lang ng ireport sa 172 hanggang sa mapatino ang koneksyon namin. Lintik! D naman sinabi sa advertisement ng PLDT na magdusa at magmamakaawa tayo para lang mabigyan tayo ng magandang koneksyon. Hindi yata ito PlanEntrepreneur(Php4,000)kundi PlanPISO.

    Sana sila na lang ang tinangay ng BAGYONG FRANK….

    ang masasabi q lng tol s mga reklamo nyo, parepreho lng yan. Depende lng yan s lugar. Prang street kapag mrming dumdaan syempre traffic, mbgal. Subukin mo gumamit ng madaling araw, tyak wla k reklamo. At isa p depende rin yan speed ng gamit mo PC. My 1st experience nga s internet provider e Telepwede. Ung PLDT Vibes. Syempre dialup un, ang PC q p gamit Pentium I 200Mghz, e nk2connect din nman me.

    Grabe..ang dami na palang nagrereklamo sa PLDT. During our 1st year with them okay naman ang connection..now mag-s-2nd year na kami with we’re experiencing connection problems. We’re not availing their 24-hr service.. I’m thinking of changing DSL lines kasi I’m planning to have a homebased job.. with myDSL .. i don’t think I can run my business well.

    been using pldt mydsl for the past 2 years and i have to say that the service is so poor.i dont know if, aside from globe, there are other providers available in bacolod. dial up is much faster than what i am paying for and this has been going on for the past 6 months. my patience is running out and i must end this before i can think of something stupid and violent. i feel bad for pldt. my familys been using the phone service eversince the 5 digit era, way before i was born and it pains me to end it but practicality and common sense demands that i must.

    I have pldt mydsl connection for a year already. I remembered the first time they installed sa hp laptop ko, nahirapan yung installer. I guess he configured it so I could finally get connected. Nagtataka lang ako coz whenever I go online using the ZyXEL P-600 series, same color ng power and dsl yung ethernet - all light green. However, when my hubby connects using his toshiba laptop, orange and ethernet. Di ko na lang mashadong pinansin. During the 1st year, ok naman, medyo mabagal lang talaga for downloads, medyo matagal mag buffer even youtube.

    This now is my PLDT SUCKS Diary..

    August 13 - I accidentally, reinstalled my OS (Vista), dapat system restore lang. The reinstallation was somehow successful (yun nga lang di ako nakapag back up ng files.. aray!) unfortunately for my internet connection, wala na.. ehternet doesn’t light up :( Call agad ako sa customer assistance. First call, ko, troubleshoot, ayaw pa din, sabi sira daw lan card. reinstall daw. I then called up HP (with Indian CSRs) and they were able to help me out with the Realtek ethernet reinstallation. Pero sa network and sharing, unplugged talaga nakalagay sa LAN. I called up 171 again (2nd for the day) and a certain Renante told me that a technician would be coming over the next day to check on it.

    August 14- walang dumating..

    August 15- I called up again.. Same spiels.. escalate.. report..
    I’m getting pissed. I told them I need a technician to check on it ASAP!

    August 16, 17 - Nada

    August 18 - I went to their Business Office sa Commonwealth QC. I brought my modem laptop and paraphernalias pero sabi sa kin ng isa sa mga babae sa counter na majojonda na pero feeling mga bata pa (pa cute pa mag-talk), sa house daw i ch check.. ok fine.

    August 19 - may organic technician na dumating, the F**k, he only checked my landline kung may dialtone, pumasok lang ako sa room, pagbalik ko, nakaalis na ang mama wala ni ha ni ho.. I called up 171 and the usual spiels came. I demanded for a supervisor and I was really flaring up! At first, kesyo wala daw available, e di lalo ako nagalit, I got her name and told her kung di nya ako bibigyan ng Supervisor, maririndi tenga nya kasi raratrat lang ako that if she hangs up, i r report ko sha, finally, after 30 minutes, I was able to talk to a supervisor. She was able to trace the technician at pinagtatanggol pa at first na sinabi lahat ng organic tech nila e may alam sa pasikot sikot ng internet connection. Sabi, sa buong subd daw e nagrereklamo ng dialtone problem. I guess the main reason kaya wala akong dialtone (at hindi ang buong subd)kasi hindi ko na plug back yung phone cable for hours after I used my laptop kasi nga I used my dsl cable sa phone line to connect using vibe! Ang loko e kesyo pumunta pa daw sa central office, where infact the time I went out of the room to find him gone, may dialtone na! Umeeskapo sa trabaho.. haay..

    Told her I need somebody to check my modem and laptop and not my phone box for dial tone. Medyo mabilis naman ang repsonse at napabalik nya ang technician. Gumana yung modem ko sa ASUS notebook nya. So walang sira ng modem. When I told him that the first installer had a hard time installing it and I think he made some configurations, ayaw nya galawin ang laptop ko.. DI DAW NYA ALAM! The heck! He insisted that the ethernet light should be orange and not green. When I further asked kung bakit green light ang sa akin before, he can’t give me any answer..

    August 19 - same day that the technician came, I called up 171 and now demanded for an installer. Hindi kung sino lang na organic technician. Again, the spiels.. report.. escalate.. punyeta..

    August 20 - Umasa pa ako, I waited the whole day.. BS wala na naman dumating.

    August 21, after 8 days of suffering using a PLDT Vibe nakabagal bagal- I called up 171 AGAIN! Spiels.. I again asked for a supervisor.. I can’t keep my cool anymore! I hope that the supervisor I spoke with, would do something with my problem, sabi nya, since it’s a holiday, he can’t send an installer-technician to check on my problem, sabi tomorrow.. wish ko lang!

    points to ponder:
    1. pag bisor ang kausap mo, nagagawan ng paraan.. Pag CSR lang, asahan mo puro spiels lang ang sasabihin, i r report lang, tapos na trabaho nila. Pasensiya lang kung hindi magagawan ng paraan. Importante sa kanila, nai-type nila yung report. LESSON LEARNED: Always ask for a supervisor to help you out!!!
    2. Rebate - I would really ask for rebate.. Kung hindi man ako ma grant, I’d concede but they’d really get a hell of blabbering from me. Imagine, if day 1 na nag report ako, day 2 - may technician na to check that my modem is ok, day 2 pa din report ako to give me an installer, day 3 - installer comes at maayos na, 3 DAYS lang ako walang connection!
    3. 171 CSRs don’t give phone numbers ng business offices.. SOP daw internal communication. Darn. E yung internal comm nila, wala kwenta, unless, again, you talk to a supervisor na pinipilit pa mag English kahit nagtatagalog na ang kausap at obvious na nagno nosebleed sila sa mga sinasabi nila. If you talk to them fluently in English, ang tagal naman bago sumagot, if they do, out of context pa! LOL

    As of typing, August 22 na 2:52am, ika-9th day ko na to.. not sure if somebody will come over, or kung meron man, sana bigyan nila ako ng marunong at hindi mangmang na nagmamarunong lang..

    Kung tapos na sana yung 2-year contract that they said I have to hook up with them, I could have terminated my subscription..

    actually yung sa experience ko, mabilis naman action..problem lang eh hindi pa rin naaayos talaga problema, i’ve been having intermittent connections ever since nakabit ito pero a few months ago ko lng itinawag sa customer service nila. tindi pa ng wrong timing kapag nadidisconnect saka hindi magamit kung kelan ko talaga kelangan.usually kasi madaling araw ako nagoonline dahil nasa ibang bansa yung kausap ko and the main reason why we had the dsl installed para anytime pwede kami makapag usap kapag nakakaonline sya (seaman kasi). kakabad trip talaga..ang masama pa nung dumating ung technician nila, bukod sa hindi nya alam kung bakit nadidisconnect eh sinisisi pa yung OS ng laptop ko..basta Vista daw yun ang problema. totoo ba yun? i don’t think so. pati nga LAN ng computer ko sinisisi din nya..pero hello..kabago bago ng laptop ko, ano yun? mamaya nakakadetect ng ilang oras tapos mamaya konti hindi? kung sira man dapat hindi na talaga nakakaconnect di ba? eh ang kadalasan na nakalagay eh limited connection..saka having dns problems daw..e di sa pldt ang problema di ba? tpos tumawag pa sya after, may nakita n daw na sira sa labas and they fixed it na daw..but until now intermittent pa rin..ano ba yun? palibhasa hindi nila alam how to fix the problem kaya ibinabaling nila sa iba..mali naman yun di ba?i was really trying to control my temper since i know hindi naman kasalanan ng call center agents yung current problem ko saka nakailang tawag na din ako dun, paulit ulit nga lang sila kaya inuunahan ko na sabihin na i’ve already tried repairing the connection several times the same way they instruct you to do it so proceed na lang agad sa reporting..i don’t know kung maaayos pa nila itong problem na ito.

    I called pldc este pldt today, I’m really having a freaking headache today about my internet connection why?
    The problem is this we have a Call of Duty 4 dedicated server in Singapore, and guess what my latency/ping is freaking 290….
    Well I had a same problems before like that and complained about it, they did something but no enough. My connection is just a plan 1299 which is 512kbps (before) but 768kbps (now, upgrade daw!). when I was still 512 I would get as low as 70ms-90ms(max) ping in our server but now I am getting a minimum of 110ms for my ping. Check my team mates and they are all pldt. I asked my team mate about his connection Plan 990 (384kbps) and what does the ping says? 80ms…. What the hell!! Yoh! I have a better plan than yours why is your ping so freaking low?
    I only have a single pc connection, windows 7 is the OS. I’m using a C2Q processor and don’t tell me how to maintain a pc I know how to. I called now because I’m getting a shitty 290ms ping and my friend is getting 80ms. I’m from Obando bulacan and my friend is from manila and when I asked the support from pldt what seems to be the problem he replied ” sa server po and problem, dami po kc nakaconnect”….. *big sweat* , anu kinalaman ng server namin sa connection ko ngaun… It’s obvious that the problem is not out server since my friend is currently playing in our paid server in singapore. Plan (990) = 80ms ping/latency ; Plan (1299) = 290ms ping/latency, compare that. Thinking they increased the download speed but made the latency no better that the previous one…. When I told that to the person in pldt he changed his answer and said “sir sa dinadaanan po yan na linya ng dsl nyo, madami po siguro nakaconnect”.     i try once to play a game “GUNZ” (which is a private server) 0 ping very nice i think… DL lang talaga… Sana Hindi na naten kelanagan mag waste ng Effort on calling ang typing like this para masolve ang problem naten… Ang masama kasi instead of asikasuhin ka paghihintayin or pagpapasapasahan sila or mag tuturuan…

    and para sa mga Problemado talaga sana Makakita na kayo ng ISP na Ayos para sa inyo kung hindi naman ay maasikaso na ang problem nyo… Magtitiis nalang ako kase mas hirap ako if wala akong internet…

    Spamming nyu nalang sila para makulitan at tulungan na kayu…
