Update: Eugene tweaked the algo a bit. I’m now a B- :) I should get a B+ after the Chico River whitewater trip (booked and set to leave early August). If you’re interested to join us (10 have signed up so far) please contact me. P4000 for the rafting/hotel/meals and P1300 for the Manila - Kalinga - Manila bus fare. We leave Manila on a Saturday night.

Fresh linkbait. One of the best ones to come out from the Philippines this year.

My Lakbayan grade is B-!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

Created by Eugene Villar.

As you can see, I’m in desperate need for some Northern Exposure. Anyone up for this? At least talo ko si Aileen at Rico :P

Hi, Marc! Thanks for trying out Lakbayan. :) It’s still in beta (kahit na linkbait na siya) and I’m gonna tweak the algorithm since I think you deserve a C+ at least. Hehehe.

  2. Aileen Apolo Says:

Harumph hahaha. Di bale, later this year I’m sure I’ll get an A!

Eugene, dapat may bonus points pag nakarating na sa Basilan, Sulu at Amanpulo :) to stay ahead of Aileen, I think I should plan now for a Siargao trip (that should take care of Eastern Mindanao), a Pagudpud run and a Panay adventure. So many beautiful places to visit, so little time :(

Ang galeng talaga ni Eugene! Linkbait worthly talaga

  5. Eugene Says:

Marc, Basilan and Sulu for being dangerous and Amanpulo for being too expensive? Hehehe.

You got an advantage: you grew up in the Visayas and are now based in Manila. Kaming mga lumaki lamang sa Maynila ay malayo-layo pa ang hahabulin. Hehehe.

Alfredo, thanks! I’d like to see *your* results. :)

Aileen, you need lots of Google-sponsored speaking engagements all over the Philippines, para tipid sa gastos, diba? Hehehe.

True true. It also helps that my dad’s from Negros and my mom’s from Bataan and that we had numerous Manila to Leyte adventure land trips when I was younger.

Just don’t know why I haven’t been to Baguio yet hehe :)

Hi Marc! I’ve already tweaked the grading system. Apparently my original system was too harsh and lots of people got lower than expected grades. Anyway, your grade is now B-!

I’ve also added a link in the results page to let you update your map, perfect for keeping track of your future travels. :-)

Marc napansin ko lang more darker yung Bataan kumpara sa Metro Manila. Mukhang madalas ka dito sa Bataan ah.
