SEO

Here’s a short recipe for short-term blog traffic success.

  • Screaming headline - check.
  • Topic is relevant to a hot mainstream scoop - check.
  • Well documented story - check.
  • Bait links from industry sneezers - check.

Now on to SoloSEO’s post about spamming MyBlogLog-powered blogs. Had 1152 visits the last time I checked.

It’s not necessarily short-term, with RSS you have the opportunity to persuade a subscriber your blog has value, then they keep coming back week after week.

    Great blog here. :)

Thanks Mike. Recently discovered your blog. Eating everything up as I speak :)

From my experience, takes one good post to lure them in, and a couple more insightful posts to get them to subscribe for defensible traffic purposes, and then a hot mix of regurgitated content and unique quality posts to keep them subscribed. Yes I’m bitching about my sucky Feedburner count :(
