Here are 21 easy tips for newbie bloggers who have Ad$ense visions. Perhaps the best tip is this:
20. Go ‘Real-World’ with other bloggers. If you live in a major city (or visit one occasionally), invite other bloggers to join you for a drink or dinner. While friendships can be developed in cyberspace, the most fruitful business relationships, even in the world of blogging, tend to flourish only after face-to-face interaction. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just send a few individualized emails to some specific bloggers in your city asking them to meet up. You can frame it as an opportunity to learn from their wisdom (bloggers love to consider themselves experts), or simply a meeting of the minds. Either way, having a relationship bolstered by face-to-face contact can provide countless benefits over one maintained entirely online.
Not because you’re after their links. Well ok, maybe :) But that’s not your main reason for going out with them.
You go out with them so you can validate for yourself if they’re really earning off their blog or from some other project. The sooner you get the problogging dream off your head, the sooner you can focus your efforts on real money making ventures online. Because unless your an A lister, there’s very little real money to be made directly off blogging.
OT: If you’re a blogger writing about SEO, good luck. That’s probably the most link selfish blog niche in the world. Trust me!

It also opens opportunities to other professional relationships. Not just in the web. Real world: people networking opportunities!

Heck, I just love making new friends. Now if the friendship becomes monetized, better, but if not, hey the friendship is more than enough incentive to go out and do if all over.
