Been a while since I last read/wrote about the SEO beat. I’ve got over 2000 unread feeds in Bloglines and I thought I’d try bringing that count down a bit. While there’s very little free time for blogging and blogline-ing, I do accept the fact that it’s now a necessary ‘evil’. In this industry of ours, one can’t be gone for an extended period. A day spent away from the SEO life might mean:
- losing the registration race for some nice expiring domains
- learning your once impregnable niche has been taken over by a bunch of me too squatters
- getting your PPC campaigns clickfrauded
- getting your AdSense account clickbotted
- losing contact with the mentors who got you started in the field
- missing out on the latest ultra-secret link network
- and lastly, missing the chance to make an impression
Now imagine abandoning SEO for a month :) that’s enough to discourage even the most happy go lucky SEO.
I’m back.
