In the viral world, humor is king. Viral linkbaits riding on humor seem to be passed on more versus other themes like news/article, health/medical, religious/spiritual, games and sports/hobbies.

SEOs need to equip themselves and their clients with the best possible linkbait material. With the fall of traditional link building methods like link trading all but certain, viral is the way to go.
The eMarketer study also notes that viral marketing is a “low-risk approach” with at least 89% of respondents having no adverse feelings towards the featured brand sponsor of the viral linkbait.
