They say you have milliseconds to make a pitch.
Before you hit the back button, please take a few seconds to read this post. It could change my life :)
Ever tried publishing an article? How about the “controversy as linkbait” tactic from Nick Wilson? I tried all those before, didn’t work: zero backlinks, zero subscriptions.
So call me desperate. The other route I’m testing now is PPC, AdWords to be exact. It’s a bit more expensive than controversy, but who knows, it may prove to be more successful. I get to target a specific audience (SEOs) and leverage on something they’re currently interested in (V7ndotcom elursrebmem). It’s the perfect niche targeting tool. Now all I have to do is work on my landing page skills :P
What do I expect to get out of this?
If I get some comments other than the ones I get from my mom and my Wednesday night beer buddies, that’s good enough ROI for me. Comments from V7ndotcom elursrebmem contestants are ok, but please be more subtle with the comment spam ;)
If you really want to help another SEO brotha out (and I won’t take it against you if you don’t), please consider browsing then bookmarking my site.

We saw your ad, clicked it, and are posting comments, and were not your parents, so yes, it’s good ROI!!!

I have not seen your Ad, but read your blog ;) I am also doing some experiments with PPC to attract links.

That was a good PPC landing page :)
Thanks for good reading.
I will also try low-cost PPC because of what you wrote - thanks.

Nice shot, I start with my little spam but I added your blog to my morning reading, now your job to keep it in my list ;-)

LOL - looks like that little ploy worked Marc. Good luck with the whole seo contest thing, but I already had your site bookemarked and your feedburner feed in my bloglines account! Sorry!

Yup. Seems to work. Actually, it was impossible not to click on your Google ad. “I wanted to write some more…”
Cheers!

Will probably add a section to my Squiddo page linking to contest pages with actual content - in which case you’re in.
