Help. I need my Civilization 4 fix. Can somebody point me to a shop where I can buy the game? And no, I’m not buying it on Amazon.

umm… eBay? Greenhills (yung mga bentahan ng 100p ps2 games)? game stores sa Megamall? Sta. Lucia (sa baba. dunno kung nandun pa yung pinagkunan ko ng office 2000 dati)? just a few ideas pare, hehehe! ;)

I pre-ordered mine through EBGames so I got it the next day it released. I’d be very surprised if there aren’t any video game shops that have the game either legit or pirated. I would advise getting an original copy though, you’ll love online play, maybe we can hook up and play a game.

Vern, I might just go the orig path, now that you mentioned online play. Will be canvassing around for the cheapest price. Hopefully, my good ol’ buddy Franz in California will see this comment and decide to send me one asap to avoid the Christmas rush…

Get the special package from EBGames. It comes with a notebook style manual so it can lay flat as well as a tech tree. I’m not sure if the tech tree poster comes with the regular package. It also comes with a CD of the soundtrack. I’d recommend it. But yeah, online play rocks. Especially after the half-assed attempt at it on Civ 3.

Databltiz should have it. Or if you want to download go to www.direct2drive.com. I got the game through that site. And no need for CD! If you are a fan of the Civilization games, then you owe it to yourself to get this. Its a great game and am hooked. The game adds “religion” into the equation, the tech tree has been revamped completely, battle has been simplified and seems to be more realistic. The downsize is that it tends to be a resource hog, but you can turn down a lot of the bells and whistles and it’ll still be playable! If you get a pirated version, be prepared for frequent crashes and the inability to patch or upgrade.

I know..I was really intent on buying the orig version because of the online play but was passing by one of the pirate heavens last weekend and couldn’t stop myself. At least I found out about it early. Oh well, 13th month save me!!! :) BTW awesome blogs Buwayahman hehe :) IDOL! You sound like someone I know over at Filairsoft.com…

I bought the game last Friday. It works fine on my Inspiron 6000 which is spec-ed way below the minimum listed on the game site :) woohoo! I’ll try to check out the online multiplayer option this week. Any updates I should install?

Don’t jump for joy yet. The game crawls as soon as civs begin expanding and sending out troops across the map. Tip: Turn down all graphic options. Post a comment
