I suddenly woke up this morning and could distinctly recall a ringing sound, the type you hear when there’s an explosive blast nearby. I had been shot point blank in my dream. I died. Surreal.
It felt like I was in a police precinct. A shootout was happening and I was not on the side of the authorities. Shots after shots rang. Total chaos: bodies falling, people shouting, blood everywhere… I was behind a desk which I had used to shield and snipe away at policemen stupid enough to charge my position.
Then silence. An eerie calm descended. Leaders started negotiating for a truce. People were talking but nobody lowered their firearms. I was pointing my pistol at a fat cop, you know the dirty cop type and I was shouting at him to lower his firearm. Being the fucker that he is, he shouted back at me and told me to lower my firearm. A few expletive-laden lines after, we both decided to lower our weapons. I sat behind the desk and waited for the negotiations to end. Then, as if watching a movie, I see someone from the other side running up to my position. I look up and see the gun on my face. For a split second, I knew I was going to die and I accepted it. Bang. Darkness. Ringing sound.
Death Dreams
Naturally, I wanted to know the meaning of this dream. Wouldn’t you?? Here’s what I gathered so far:
Craig Parker says
If you dream of dying it represents that you can’t cope with your problems. This is a typical anxiety dream. See it in emotional terms. These dreams can also signify change and new beginnings.
Jane Teresa Anderson seems to share Parker’s thoughts:
Death in dreams is symbolic of things that are coming to a close, or ending, in your life.
There’s so much on my mind right now which could fit the description above. I need to die more.

I used to have bad dreams very often when I was still there in the Philippines. Now, the only night when I got bad dreams was when my blog was TROLLED, hahaha.
I guess dreams abouth death is related to your present or past experiences that you are about to surrender yourself to. Try also the Psychological explanation of your dream. It might help you realize something…

Dreams are my fascinations too. Many years ago I dreamed I was running away from cops for some crime. As I was crossing a spot which I remember vividly to this day, they fired and I was hit on the right side of my nape. I woke up with a limp left. I just had a stroke. A blood clot was found where I felt the stab of pain.
I have read books on dreams and their supposed meanings but still I wonder why and how such images could be so vivid and REAL when you’re asleep. In fact, somehow I learned to explore them. My question is if such reality is possible in a dream, then can we say by analogy that the reality as we know in this waking state is just another layer of dream and elsewhere in another dimension, we’re really asleep.
