An Internet Marketing focused blog, with occasional musings about life on and off the battlefield by Marc Hil Macalua, SEO Philippines Founder and Philippine Marketing VP for US Auto Parts Network Inc.
I spent a few days thinking whether I should be posting this or not. I had grand plans for 100SexiestPinays.com, the “definitive portal to the most beautiful and most talked about Filipino women of this generation”, but I never could find the time to launch it. I’m also handicapped by the fact that I don’t have the necessary connections to the movers and shakers of the Philippine entertainment industry. This is proving to be my greatest barrier to entry. I’m sharing the business plan to the world, lest it collects another layer of digital dust in my documents folder.
I’m publishing snippets of the business plan to provide others with a very elementary template for a dot com business plan and to get feedback from readers so I can see my points for improvement. I’d love to hear your comments. If there’s a venture capitalist who’s willing to shell out resources to make this concept a reality, let’s talk! Let’s give Pinaycelebs a run for their money. Now, on to the 100SexiestPinays.com business plan.
Yet another article espousing the merits of a PR-based SEO campaign by Mike Valentine at ebizwhiz-publishing.com. Think press releases on steroids. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m sure his intentions are pure and that this has nothing to do with the recent Google IPO :)
Nude-photo publisher sues Google
A California-based pornographer has sued Google, alleging that its leading Internet search engines are illegally allowing people to view hijacked versions of its nude photos and to access its Web site with stolen passwords.
I guess the US Army’s loss is every armchair general’s gain. Crye Associates’ Scorpion Pattern (MultiCamâ„¢) lost to another company for the new Army Combat Uniform (ACU) contract. So what do you do? Sell it to the civilian market of course! It’ll just be a matter of time before we see these MultiCamâ„¢ goodies at eBay…in fact I see a few already. When can we expect to see this pattern in the Philippines? Read the rest of this entry »
I fell victim to a very enterprising private towing service this afternoon. Turns out I illegally parked in a no-park zone. At least that’s what the tow crew and their Mandaluyong traffic enforcer mascot wanted me to believe. Truth of the matter is, (1) I went down to buy squid balls from the vendor in front of me, (2) with my car engine running, (3) in a “no-park” area (not no-unloading, take note) which was (4) marked with a no-parking “sign” etched in red paint on one of the lightposts, not the usual steel street signboard you’d expect. I could hardly see the words since the letters didn’t face the road. Ingenious. Pretty neat trap if you ask me.
After the initial shock, a motorist who was passing by stopped and shouted at the tow crew that what they were doing was illegal since they were only allowed to tow driverless cars parked on “official” no parking zones. Of course, the goons played deaf. It was then that the pleading started, and not long after, the argument. Read the rest of this entry »
Boss Eric sent me a few photos using the FinePix S5100. Turns out he was at one of the matches of the recently concluded WTA Tour Championships in LA. Can you say Maria Sharapova? Yup, that’s her. Still not convinced? You can confirm it here and here.
Looks like the 10X optical zoom feature was put to good use. Can’t wait to get my hands on that baby (I meant the digital camera, lest you have other obscene thoughts).
